Provide financial assistance to an individual victim or support person (as defined in the Corrections and Conditional Release Act and who are registered with Correctional Service Canada or the Parole Board of Canada), to attend Parole Board of Canada hearings in respect of the offender who harmed them.

This three-year contribution agreement between Canada and Legal Aid British Columbia will support the delivery of immigration and refugee legal aid services in British Columbia.

Na-Cho Nyak Dun will address community-wide trauma by reintroducing traditional ceremony and culturally grounded coping mechanisms. Different healing practitioners will deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and uniquely tailored activities for families and community members. The activities will alternate between being held in Mayo and Ethel Lake. Counselors, wellness workers, and Elders will support community members on their healing journeys.

This three-year contribution agreement between Canada and the Halifax Refugee Clinic will support the delivery of immigration and refugee legal aid services in Nova Scotia.

This three-year contribution agreement between Canada and Legal Aid Manitoba will support the delivery of immigration and refugee legal aid services in Manitoba.

This three-year contribution agreement between Canada and the New Brunswick Refugee Clinic will support the delivery of immigration and refugee legal aid services in New Brunswick.

The initiative, "Healing Journeys," will provide comprehensive support to families of missing and murdered Indigenous people through a holistic framework that honors Indigenous wisdom. They will hold a week-long on-the-land wellness camps that integrate Indigenous ceremonies such as prayer, pipe ceremonies, and potlatches, representing the spiritual aspect of healing. The camps will also feature community workshops addressing mental, physical, and emotional well-being. The project prioritizes the revitalization of cultural practices and traditions as a means of collective healing and resilience-building. The funding from the Victims Fund will be strategically allocated to support Indigenous-centered activities, including the organization of wellness camps, provision of traditional healing services, and cultural revitalization efforts. The initiative is committed to centering Indigenous voices and perspectives in the healing process, empowering families to reclaim their cultural heritage and agency in seeking justice and healing.

Over the next four years, the project will develop and strengthen the BC Network of Child and Youth Advocacy Centres. The main activities include: support for centres, continued work on best practices and an Indigenous Services Framework, and continued evaluation and improvement of practice.

This Association will serve as a national voice; advance collaboration and partnerships; and elevate consistent practices across Canada.

The recipient agrees to contribute to addressing the over-representation of Indigenous people in the criminal justice system through activities such as Gladue aftercare, prevention, diversion and social reintegration.
