This project will retrofit an existing community and recreation centre operated by the YMCA of Greater Toronto to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The upgrades will modernize building systems and address inefficiencies associated with the aging facility, improving overall performance and long‑term sustainability. These improvements will support the continued delivery of community, recreation, child care, and youth programming in a modernized, high‑performance facility.

This project will modernize the Thessalon Memorial Arena and Curling Club to improve energy efficiency, environmental performance, and accessibility. Building and arena system upgrades will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs while enhancing overall facility performance. Accessibility improvements will support inclusive use of the facility, ensuring continued access to recreational opportunities and strengthening the arena’s role as a vital community hub for Thessalon and surrounding communities.

This project will be supported through a combination of federal, provincial, and other funding sources. Confirmed and anticipated contributions will support capital improvements to the facility, including structural and building upgrades. Securing funding from multiple partners will help ensure the successful completion of the project and the continued delivery of accessible cultural and community programming.

The Breaking Barriers retrofit project will enhance the energy efficiency and accessibility of the ACB Wellness Resource Centre. The project includes building upgrades to reduce environmental impacts and operating costs, as well as accessibility improvements such as barrier‑free access and inclusive building features. These enhancements will ensure safe, accessible access to community services offered at the centre, including its food bank and related supports.

The John Rhodes Community Centre Retrofit Project will upgrade the facility to improve energy efficiency and accessibility. The project includes building improvements to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs, as well as accessibility enhancements within the arena to ensure inclusive use of community spaces. These upgrades will support continued community programming and improve access to recreational facilities for residents of all ages and abilities.

This project involves the construction of a new community centre designed to provide inclusive, multi‑use space for public and community activities. The facility will support a wide range of programs, volunteer activities, and community group use through flexible gathering, training, and meeting spaces. Designed with inclusion as a core principle, the project will improve access to community services and provide welcoming space for underserved populations, strengthening community connections and social well‑being.

This project will upgrade the Eganville Arena to improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Building system improvements will reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing overall facility performance. These upgrades will support the arena’s continued role as a community hub and improve the long‑term sustainability of public recreational infrastructure.

This project will retrofit the Isabel Turner Library to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhance site‑wide accessibility. Building upgrades will improve overall performance and support decarbonization, while accessibility improvements will focus on entrances, washrooms, interior circulation, and wayfinding to ensure safe, inclusive access for all users. These improvements will strengthen the library’s role as a community hub and support equitable access to public library services.

This project will upgrade the North Hastings Community Centre to improve safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency. Planned renovations include modernizing arena systems and adding accessible washroom facilities to support inclusive use of the facility. These improvements will enhance access to affordable recreational opportunities, support active lifestyles, and ensure the continued operation of a vital community space serving residents of all ages and abilities.

New community centre in Calgary, AB to replace an existing community centre to meet the needs of seniors, parents and children, members of the Japanese community, and residents of the community. The centre will also facilitate a broader understanding of Japanese and Asian culture within the broader community.
