By the end of the project, CAAVD will have developed administrative and practical tools and a repository of lessons learned, including consultations with women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ persons from the community, and key CAAVD partners, to remedy issues related to support for women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ members of the Val-d’Or Indigenous community.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, Future Black Female will 1) Map out the GBV/IPV Sector and Engage Black-led (B3) and Grassroots Settlement Agencies; 2) Develop Afrocentric and Culturally Grounded Integration Resources; 3) Train and Build the Capacity of Mainstream Service Providers (including Campus Sexual Assault Centres); and 4) Evaluate the Project to Mobilize Learning and Knowledge Across GBV/IPV Sector. Through this, they will further advance Gender Equality.

At the end of the project, EIWFSC will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, with a focus on peer-to-peer learning and leadership development in Indigenous men and youth.

This will be achieved by creating a travelling exhibition and activity guide that will enable host organizations, communities, and governments across Canada (remote, rural, urban) to learn about Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and how to address it in their own environment.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the South Asian Women's and Immigrants' Services Inc. will A) Transition Equity Leaders from Foundational Activation to Advanced Policy and Systems Leadership; B) Transform Previously Consolidated Community Knowledge Into a New Action Oriented Policy Reform Agenda (CAP); C) Generate Advanced Equity Analyses to Support Policy Submissions, CAP Advocacy, and System Engagement; D) Empower Working Groups to Deliver New Community Driven Policy Engagement and Advocacy Activities; E) Host a New Community Led Systems Change Summit to Catalyze Cross-Sector Policy Commitments and Coordinated Collective Action; F) Formalize Strategic Partnerships and Access Agreements (MOUs) to Position VMNW Leaders Within Decision Making Spaces; and G) Embed Adaptive Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) for Next Stage Policy Influence. Through this they will further advance Gender Equality.

The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS D) Program provides financial support to outstanding eligible students pursuing doctoral studies in a Canadian university.
