The Canada Research Chairs Program (CRCP) aims to enable Canadian universities to foster research excellence and to enhance their role in the global, knowledge-based economy as world-class centres of research excellence; to provide targeted resources to help attract and retain a cadre of world class researchers to reinforce academic research excellence in Canadian universities; and to support internationally competitive research and research capacity that generates social, economic and cultural benefits for Canada.

The Canada Research Chairs Program (CRCP) aims to enable Canadian universities to foster research excellence and to enhance their role in the global, knowledge-based economy as world-class centres of research excellence; to provide targeted resources to help attract and retain a cadre of world class researchers to reinforce academic research excellence in Canadian universities; and to support internationally competitive research and research capacity that generates social, economic and cultural benefits for Canada.

Through this 17-month project, Qchat Support Association will build the capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. It will collect, review, and analyze new and existing information on British Columbia’s 2SLGBTQI+ youth peer support and referral landscape to better understand the gaps, barriers, and best practices in serving 2SLGBTQI+ youth in British Columbia. The project will include expanding capacity of Qchat Support Association through more robust volunteer training and education, and board development including governance and long-term financial sustainability, not-for-profit finance management and grant proposal writing.

Supplemental funds will be used to support the human resources for this project.

Through this 39-month project, Momentum will build stronger capacity of 2SLGBTQIA+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQIA+ equality. Central to its mandate, Momentum will build coalitions to improve advocacy on behalf of 2SLGBTQIA+ people. It will address gaps in collaboration in advocacy across the sector and across related sectors including feminism, education, and healthcare. The project will include annual strategic planning for the Momentum board, engagement with other national (and in some cases regional) 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations through a 2SLGBTQIA+ Advocacy Advisory Council and thematic working groups. Momentum’s Board of Directors and its 2SLGBTQIA+ Advocacy Advisory Council's meetings will foster collaborative networks and advocacy coherence. Each cross-sectoral working group will develop public education/advocacy campaigns addressing equality and inclusion issues within their respective sectors.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Society of Queer Momentum (Momentum) will subcontract a fundraising and outreach consultant, and hold a late Fall meeting of a new National peer and cross-sectoral collaboration forum, to strengthen relationships, enhance cooperation, and share knowledge and viewpoints across various sectors. Through these activities, Momentum will strengthen their capacity to further advance Gender Equality now and in the future.

Through this 27-month project, Fierté littéraire will strengthen the capacity and the networks of 2SLGBTQI+ communities to promote equality of the 2SLGBTQ+ people. The project will cover organizational development, strategic planning, partnership development, and structural funding. It will also include evaluating and training the board of directors, drafting and updating policies, developing the organization’s image, as well as communications activities with members and partners.

The project will include activities to build equity and anti-racism competencies of 2SLGBTQI+ refugee-serving organizations across Canada and strengthen the internal structures of the Coalition and its secretariat.

Through this 27-month project, the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity will improve capacity of 2SLGBTQI+ community organizations and networks to advance 2SLGBTQI+ equality. The project will address gaps in 2SLGBTQ+ youth leaders' access to convening space and knowledge and skills development mentorship and empowerment opportunities, to inform policy related to adequate trans affirming health care, comprehensive sexuality education, and public safety. The project will focus on strategic, operational, and financial planning; strengthening organizational capacity through hiring specialist positions and consultants; fostering networking and collaboration between organizations serving 2SLGBTQ+ youth; and raising awareness of 2SLBTQ+ youth issues through needs assessment made accessible to other organizations in and outside of the 2SLGBTQ+ sector.

(SCO), in partnership with GAGANNAAWENIMAANAANIG (formerly the Manitoba MMIWG2S+ Implementation Committee) will increase action to advance equality through systemic change and focus on efforts to end violence against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people in Manitoba.

Through this 21-month project, Moose Hide Campaign Development Society will scale a Calling on men and boys and sharing traditional medicine promising practice to strengthen the GBV sector. The project will be scaled to three new regions: Ontario, Quebec and Nunavut, and Atlantic. It will address the need to reach a large number of people within key institutions in order to effectively change the attitudes and behaviors that lead to GBV. To do so, the project will engage men and boys, share traditional Indigenous medicine, cultural teachings, and experiences, and then apply an Indigenous impact measurement framework to assess the overall effectiveness and reach of the project. The Moose Hide Campaign Development Society will engage many institutional partners and publish the impacts of these collaborations to share information on the promising practice with others so that they may replicate it or expand it.

The firm is developing a clean heating process and equipment for underground mines. This project involves further development of the Glacies reactor.
