Develop digital adoption plan

The scope of the project includes work on two segments of the Brock Trail totaling approximately 1 km, and will involve a trail extension, trail reconstruction, benches, signage, solar lighting, and waste disposal receptacles. A new bridge and a replacement bridge will also be completed to connect sections of the trail, but are not a part of the eligible project. The first segment is located between Brock and Perth Streets, will remove the existing asphalt and reconstruct the trail with 3m wide asphalt surface to allow safe travel in both directions for both pedestrians and cyclists, and mobility devices on the trail. The project also includes the addition of solar lights, benches, refuse disposal units and wayfinding signage.

The project will construct a 2 km multi-use trail in Regina Beach, Saskatchewan. The South Shore Trail will be the first project with hopes in the future adding on trails with the adjoining communities as well as an electronic crosswalk to cross the highway safely.

Communities across Canada that have a significant issue with homelessness and will have increased supports for their vulnerable populations through Reaching Home. This is accomplished by mobilizing partners at the federal, provincial/territorial and community levels, as well as the private and voluntary sectors, and other stakeholders, to address barriers to well-being faced by those who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.

This contribution supports the development of monuments to honor the ancestors of the First Nations at the Indigenous burial site and at the Catholic cemetery, it also supports the development of a scenography dedicated to ancestral presence of Native Peoples and animation activities.

The contribution supports the Métis Nation of Alberta to secure lands within proximity to, and support of ecological connectivity in the region east of Edmonton near Elk Island National Park. MNA seeks to work collaboratively to establish a Métis-led Indigenous Protected and Conserved Area that would support ecological connectivity and Métis connections with the land.

The contribution supports the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) to secure lands within the National Priority Areas for Corridors (NPAfC) that arches from Quetico to Pukaskwa, and support creation of an ecological corridor in the region along the north shore of Lake Superior.

This contribution enables the completion of research activities that sought to understand communities and stakeholder perceptions of bison disease management options around Wood Buffalo National Park. The research will be analyzed, summarized, and shared with Indigenous communities around Wood Buffalo National Park as well as begin manuscript preparation for publishing in peer reviewed scientific journals.

This contribution supports the District Council of the Rocky View Métis District, as part of the Lake Louise Indigenous Advisory Circle Working Group, to develop and review an Interpretive Plan for the design and presentation of Indigenous cultural content and stories in the Lake Louise area.

The contribution supports the initiation of the Kivalliq Inuit Guardian Program in the Ukkusiksalik National Park region. Through the leadership of the Kivalliq Inuit Association, hired Inuit Guardians will conduct stewardship activities and knowledge sharing/gathering while contributing to the ecological protection of the region, as they have done since time immemorial. The Project is strongly supported by Inuit living the communities associated with Ukkusiksalik National Park.
