Characterizing cannflavins and chrysoeriol as candidate therapeutic agents against glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) cells and breast cancer metastasis. This project will offer a solid foundation to pursue cannflavins and chrysoeriol as legitimate lead compounds against GBM cells and breast cancer metastasis that exploit the deregulation of TrkB signalling to thrive.

The purpose of this research request is to better understand the functional and sensory benefits of Outcast Food ingredients and processed foods to enable clearer delineation of benefits and targeted industries and product formulations. Further, once customers have been identified, the R&D resource will work with customers to ensure that our ingredient(s) create no/minimal impact in the final product format currently be utilized.

Bioreactor technology has been poorly explored for marine ecosystems compared to terrestrial ecosystems, both in the context of fundamental R&D and the subsequent translation of innovations from bench to market. The consequence is that the vast majority of marine microbes have never been successfully cultured, leaving untapped the wealth of biodiversity represented by global oceans. This project will focus on addressing capability gaps in the Canadian biotechnology sector by designing and manufacturing a novel bioreactor and associated systems to support the unique technical requirements of atypical microbial fermentation using marine bioresources and marine-derived microbes. This project will provide resources and a collaborative research environment to explore innovations in bioreactor design and operations and to increase the commercial viability of fermentation processes based on marine systems.

In the current “AI Enhancement Project”, the chatbot will be expanded to be more closely integrated into scheduling and to have a better interface for customers to refine and optimize its operation.

The candidate will work as a Technical Sales Representative”.
