The Aceli Agri-SME Market Incentive Facility aims to unlock financing for high-impact agri-SMEs. The proposed facility aims to provide financial incentives to increase the risk appetite of financial institutions (global and local). It also aims to facilitate technical assistance to expand the ability of high-impact small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to qualify for and manage financing. Project activities include: (1) offering financing incentives to financial institutions (both local and international in Sub-Sahara Africa); (2) offering impact bonus to financial institutions that serve borrowers that are inclusive (gender and youth) and contribute to food security on the continent; and (3) providing technical assistance for early and growth stage SMES, both pre and post investment.

This project aims to enhance the gender equality and economic empowerment of women and girls in the 6 Wards of Mbooni, Kenya. It seeks to help 10,848 direct beneficiaries by promoting economically viable enterprises and engaging the wider community in advancing gender equality and human rights. The project also supports 76,430 indirect beneficiaries by increasing household food security through campaigns, competitions, and community awareness programs. This includes high school and college activities, aiming to reach 4,030 students. The project uses Men and boys as project design informants and change agents to support women’s and girls' activities and dismantle barriers and negative gender perceptions or stereotypes. Project activities include: (1) establishing poultry production and sales groups; (2) providing women-led and women-majority cooperative enterprises start-up capital, including poultry, feed, equipment, etc.; (3) identifying and training men champions to help prevent, respond to, and mitigate sexual and gender-based violence (GBV); (4) training existing police, health workers, and counsellors on GBV support service operations and delivery mechanisms for vulnerable women; (5) training men, boys, women, and girls on dividing labour or unequal burden of care, decision-making, positive masculinity, and GBV roles; and (6) training women-majority cooperative enterprises in business management skills, profitability analysis, marketing, sales, and negotiation through market linkages.

The project promotes the growth and resilience of women-led or owned small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) in various member countries of the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity (APEP), particularly Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. It improves their business performance, their capacity to participate in value chains, and their ability to scale-up their businesses. It provides women entrepreneurs, especially those from vulnerable populations, with access to a six-month virtual accelerator training program, to build their capacity in financial literacy and in accessing finance opportunities. It also supports in connecting women entrepreneurs to value chains and to networking opportunities to grow their businesses effectively. The Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity seeks to harness the economic potential of the Americas and drive regional competitiveness. In complement to initiatives supported by the United States and Uruguay, Canada’s contribution via the ACWE project bolsters startups in APEP countries, leveraging innovation and entrepreneurship as powerful tools to create lasting prosperity. Project activities include delivery of eight training modules, each made up of workshops and webinars with live mentoring and networking sessions; including: (1) innovation and Growth; (2) strategy and strategic planning; (3) digital business; (4) successful sales plan; (5) marketing; (6) growth and financing; (7) family business management; and (8) founder to chief executive officer. Training is complemented by roundtable discussions and linkages with technical specialists, financial institutions, buyers, and business experts. The program will conclude with women participants developing a Growth Plan for their business. The Inter-American Development Bank implements the project in collaboration with Thunderbird School of Global Management.

The project will directly benefit 450 women entrepreneurs, as well as 3,690 indirect beneficiaries across the 6 countries

This project supports the sovereign loan to the Government of Guyana. It aims to strengthen institutional capacity for improving social service delivery, focusing on increasing access to women, people with disabilities, senior citizens, and indigenous peoples. Project activities include: (1) building capacity for project planning, monitoring and evaluation and administration of human resources; (2) improving capacity for the operation and maintenance of information portals; (3) providing vulnerable groups with skills training, labour market information and related services to build their capacity for employment and self-employment; and (4) strengthening electronic payment systems to access old age pensions easily.

This Project aims to explore effective ways to protect children from the risks of recruitment and exploitation into terrorist groups, as well as the broad impacts of counter-terrorism and violent extremism on children throughout South and Southeast Asia (SA/SEA). The Project will be implemented in South and Southeast Asia, with a focus on Indonesia, building upon the initial successes of the UNODC since 2019, including through the STRIVE Juvenile initiative (2021-2023). The Project will aim to apply child-focused and gender-sensitive strategies, strengthen cross-border cooperation among policy-makers and practitioners, and enhance capacities for the treatment of children associated with terrorist groups across various security, social and justice professionals in the region.
