Gavi’s long-term mission is saving lives and protecting people’s health by increasing equitable and sustainable vaccine use. This project supports Gavi's four strategic goals for the 2026-2030 period. Project activities include: introducing and scaling up vaccines against infectious disease, including human papillomavirus and malaria, through procurement and delivery support; (2) supporting and strengthening health systems to increase immunization equity, including dedicated support to extend immunization services to under-immunized and zero-dose children; (3) improving the sustainability of national immunizations programs; and (4) ensuring healthy markets for vaccines and related products.

This grant represents Canada’s long-term institutional support to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria uses these funds and other donors’ funding, to achieve its mandate. Created in 2002, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a unique, public-private partnership and leading international financing institution dedicated to mobilizing additional resources to prevent and treat AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. It is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector, and affected communities that represents an innovative approach to international health financing. This grant supports the Global Fund’s 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, the primary objective of which is to end AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, with a focus on making catalytic investments and leveraging innovations for faster progress in reducing new infections in 126 low and middle-income countries. The Global Fund’s model centers on the concepts of country ownership and performance-based funding, which means that organizations and institutions in developing countries implement their programs based on their priorities and must be able to show achieved results. This grant contributes towards meeting the Sustainable development goal target of eliminating HIV, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics by 2030 by supporting countries to scale up treatment and prevention services. This grant also contributes to improving the health and rights of women, adolescents and children by breaking down barriers to access to life-saving prevention and treatment services. It also focuses on international assistance efforts on helping the poorest and most vulnerable. To date, the Global fund has saved over 70 million lives.

The Circle to Strength project will equip justice professionals with a referral-based toolbox for youth from the Mi’kmaw communities that are in conflict with the law and will support the development of a referral system, a gaps analysis, new program development and evaluation.

This project will analyze youth sentencing options to assess effectiveness and improve options, assess the relationship between youth in care and incarceration, develop recommendations for program and partners, and develop a resource team for Indigenous youth justice with service partners.

This project will support the research and development of traditional justice knowledge and tools for Kwanlin Dun First Nation. The research will be carried out in partnership with the University of Victoria and the findings will inform justice program models, governance models and administration of justice negotiations for Kwanlin Dun First Nation.

The purpose of this land-based program is to support the healing, and reintegration of Taku River Tlingit citizens who are returning from being in custody, from treatment for addiction, and/or those who are struggling with intergenerational trauma by participating in this program in the summer of 2026.

Preparing CMLabs' internal policies and practices to effectively sell its simulation solutions to the North-American military market segemnt. A key part of this is the validation of market requirements to drive the adaptation of the firm's simulation technology to Canadian and US Armed Forces needs for vehicle operator training.

This project will prepare a Canadian Earth observation SME to participate in the defence sector through two streams: (1) achieving Controlled Goods Program readiness, including personnel security clearances and establishment of digital security controls; and (2) developing a detailed business case and long-term plan for a hyperspectral maritime vessel identification product serving Canadian and allied defence customers. The project strengthens Canada's domestic space-based defence industrial capacity.

This project prepares a Canadian-developed passive indoor sensing technology for defence and dual-use applications. The system detects presence and activity inside buildings using wireless signals without cameras or wearables, enabling privacy-preserving monitoring in temporary or sensitive environments. Activities include analysis of defence operational requirements, assessment of technical gaps, and development of a validation and adoption roadmap. The project reduces technical and commercialization risk and supports Canadian participation in emerging security and safety technology sectors
