This project reimburses the recipient for the incremental safety and security measures and expenses incurred in support of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) led security operation for the United Nations 4th Session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution (UN INC‑4) held in Ottawa, Ontario in April 2024, aligning with the department’s mandate to keep Canadians safe.

This project provides reimbursement to the City of Ottawa for extraordinary policing expenses incurred in FY2024-25 and FY2025-26.

The project aims to provide enhanced community policing services to the Akwesasne community through Community Safety Officers, with overall goals of crime reduction, increases in restorative justice referrals in support of the Indigenous Justice Program, and an increase in public satisfaction with policing services.

This project supports dedicated and culturally appropriate policing services delivered by Delta Police Department to Tsawwassen First Nation.

This project is to assist the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service with the acquisition of policing equipment, supplies, and training expenses. This funding will enable Akwesasne Mohawk Police Officers to have the necessary resources to carry out their duties effectively and safely, ultimately enhancing the security of the community they serve.

This contribution supports the processing, analysis and interpretation of trail camera data and will enable a better understanding of caribou presence, seasonal habitat use, group composition, and behaviour in Wapusk National Park.

The contribution supports Siksika Nation, as part of the Banff Indigenous Advisory Circle Lake Louise Working Group, for planning that enables the presentation of Indigenous cultural heritage in Banff National Park and supports the Indigenous Stewardship Policy.

This grant supports First Nations consultations to explore land use options for the remaining Pickering Airport lands incorporating Indigenous conservation perspectives to support identification of high conservation value lands. The grant also supports exploring stewardship models and governance systems of interest to First Nations Communities.

This grant supports Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey’s capacity in its efforts to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Treaty of 1726 through preparations for a signature event at Fort Anne National Historic Site.

This contribution supports habitat connectivity and mitigates road mortality for vulnerable species by installing wildlife fencing at one of the primary road mortality hotspots. This fencing will help guide vulnerable species towards safe tunnel passages underneath the road, mitigating threats and supporting population recovery for a variety of species at risk.
