The project will support the hiring of Biomedical Engineering Associate to conduct research and evaluation of advanced additive manufacturing materials and technology for medical device 3D printing.

The project will include improved access to midwifery care
for specific underserved women (BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, living with disabilities, rural, northern, low income, newcomer and OLMC communities) through engagement with organizations that work with these populations, increase engagement with other health professions by mapping and identifying priority interprofessional relationships and building connections with leaders of education programs and associations and by developing a strategic fundraising and grant writing strategy to secure future diverse funding streams.

This includes smaller incisions for minimally invasive surgeries, increased complexity for 3D imaging or multiplane imaging, robotic intervention, and intravascular and intracardiac imaging.

The GTC-GSCI fonds contains the complete research and administrative records created by the Gwich’in Tribal Council Department of Culture and Heritage (GTC-CH), formerly the Gwich’in Social and Cultural Institute (GSCI). Donated to the Northwest Territories Archives (NWT Archives) in 2018, this collection was added in 2021 to the Canada Memory of the World Register (part of the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme) in acknowledgement of its incredible linguistic and cultural richness and significance to the Gwich’in, northern, and Canadian cultural landscapes.

This irreplaceable collection preserves Indigenous traditional knowledge, language, and cultural material, created with the specific goal of safeguarding and promoting Gwich’in language and culture.

This project proposes a continued partnership between GTC-CH and the NWT Archives to hire a professional archivist. Now entering its fourth phase, the project is titled “Arrangement, description and digitization of special media in the GSCI-GTC fonds.” This phase is part of a broader, multi-phase effort to fully arrange, describe, and preserve the GTC-GSCI fonds. The partnership between the GTC and the NWT Archives has resulted in an agreement that will provide security, high preservation standards, advanced intellectual control, and increased access for the material.

The project involves mapping the certification pathway for qualifying additively manufactured components for the Newfoundland and Labrador offshore energy industry.

To date, an application has been developed to help real estate developers sell their units via interactive 3D representations. The proposed project aims to provide complete support, from validation of finish choices to assistance to co-owners, by migrating the business model to Saas.

Hire continuous improvement expertise to help with value stream mapping

We are currenting working to significantly improve the time in which it takes us to create the 3D character models for our virtual patients used by our healthcare simulation training product InvolveXR.

This project will focus on integrating Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) technology with traditional 3D content generation.
