The project will construct a new pedestrian bridge to link the existing trail to the Riverside Medical Complex in Turtleford, Saskatchewan. The pedestrian-friendly trail network will promote physical and mental well-being by encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

The CASO Rail Corridor in Essex County was abandoned by Canadian National Railway (CN) in 2012. This former railway has been identified as one of the key sections of trail that will connect multiple communities in this region and has been supported by every mayor and deputy mayor in 7 municipalities. This proposal is the first step towards the multiple benefits listed above as it lays the groundwork needed to properly design and cost the project to allow for construction to proceed, subject to funding in future years. Our proposal is to have a consulting engineering firm complete a detailed inspection of 43 kms of former rail line (including multiple bridges), develop detail design drawings suitable for tender, establish any permit requirements from regulatory agencies and provide cost estimates so securing funds for a capital project can be initiated.

Trout Creek’s lower 2km was narrowed, channelized, and developed in the 1940s & 1970s which has created ongoing water quality issues. This project will restore the natural form and function of the lower 2km, including floodplain re-engagement, riparian forest restoration, bank full channel width widening, and restoring mainstem structure. Construction is phased across years due to its size. This phase will excavate a remaining area (approx. 350m length) for channel widening and floodplain setback, restore riparian forest habitat (approx. 10,000m2 of 11,050m2 total), install 3 remaining new bury riffles and restore trails linked to Sun-Oka Park.

Purchase 3 buses to expand Strait Area Transit Co-operative's fixed and pre-booked door-to-door and wheelchair accessible service for all residents with a focus on the most vulnerable populations in Inverness and Richmond Counties of Nova Scotia. The Strait Area Transit Co-operative is a member of the Rural Transportation Association of Nova Scotia.

The purpose of this funding is to assist Northwatch in participating in a public hearing based on written interventions for Ontario Power Generation's application to change the licensing basis fo Pickering Waste Management Facility.

The purpose of this funding is to assist Canadians for Nuclear Energy in meeting with CNSC staff to discuss Ontario Power Generation’s application for authorization to operate the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Units 5 to 8 until 2026 and to participate in the public Commission hearing

Project activities include: (1) reviewing existing public programs to improve access to quality services for people affected by climate-induced shocks; (2) re-designing programs to effectively support local economic diversification and skills training for workers; (3) supporting government officials to enhance their skills for managing the socio-economic impacts of climate change and transition to low-carbon economy; and (4) facilitating community participation in the Just Energy Transition.

This project aims to strengthen Peru’s water security and climate resilience through investments in nature-based solutions in 14 regions. Project activities include: (1) working to improve performance among governing authorities to coordinate actions with other sectors toward shared objectives; (2) strengthening institutional capacities and performance to integrate a gender-sensitive approach to watershed planning; (3) promoting evidence-based decision-making and tools for integrated water resources management and climate change adaptation; (4) mobilizing public and private funding for natural infrastructure projects from new investors; and (5) providing support to strengthen enabling conditions for improved water governance, especially gender equality in water governance and natural infrastructure management.

The project is implemented through a delegated cooperation arrangement with the United States Agency for International Development and a consortium led by Forest Trends.

This project aims, on the one hand, to help target communities make greater use of the mining fund for local development (FMDL) to improve the abilities of communities and organizations to implement local initiatives focused on peace and security. On the other hand, the project seeks to strengthen the capacities and involvement of women, girls and marginalized groups in local initiatives. The goal is to encourage their leadership and foster the development of inclusive and equitable initiatives within communities. By strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations, the project aims to promote the participation of local communities in the management of mining resources. This seeks to ensure that the interests of local communities are taken into account, helping to reduce frustrations and tensions that fuel violence, conflict and illegal trade within the communities.

Project activities include: (1) providing training to target communities and organizations in planning, managing and monitoring local peace and security initiatives; (2) providing technical support, coaching and assistance to target communities and organizations in implementing, managing and evaluating local initiatives; (3) organizing thematic workshops on peace and security, gender equality, conflict sensitivity and inclusive local development; (4) organizing and promoting inclusive dialogue to address peace and security issues within the communities; and (5) conducting information and awareness-raising campaigns on the governance, operation and terms of access of the mining fund for the benefit of the communities.
