This project will assess and define the security, sourcing, and technical requirements needed to adapt a compact RF sensing product for defence applications. Work will include requirements analysis, system and component review, security and supply-chain assessment, engagement with specialized advisors, and targeted prototype and validation activities to identify gaps related to secure design, trusted components, and operational readiness. The project supports Canada’s priorities in advanced sensing, resilient digital infrastructure, and defence technology development.

Develop a novel representation-theoretic framework for quantum algorithms and quantum compilation using recently developed connections between adelic methods and the Langlands program to quantum computing. Golden gates, optimal gate sets generalizing Clifford+T, are known to exist for all practical application via arithmetic constructions exploiting adelic analysis and recent developments in the Langlands Program. Precisely, these methods produce a number-theoretic shadow of any quantum gate, the “arithmetic avatar”, that allows for the translation of complex structures in quantum computing to a straight-forward combinatorial setting. The project will produce the first practical implementation of this construction in a quantum SDK (Qiskit), as well a rigorous study of a novel approach to quantum algorithm development that arises from this application of adelic methods.

The project will enable the firm to develop an understanding of the business opportunity in the public sector and build knowledge of procurement processes.

THIS PROJECT IS TO DETERMINE THE FEASIBILITY OF MODIFTYING OUR AI ASSISTED RECRUITMENT PLATFORM FOR USE IN THE DEFENCE INDUSTRY

This grant provides Canada’s institutional support to Grand Challenges Canada (GCC). GCC pools this funding with contributions from other donors to carry out its mission. GCC's mission is to 1) support innovators to develop, test and scale innovations, and 2) enable resources to flow at scale by investing in systems-level initiatives, to improve the health, wellbeing and survival among unserved and underserved populations, with an emphasis on women and girls, in countries eligible for Official Development Assistance, including those affected by conflict.
