The project aims to rehabilitate Jamaica's critical forest ecosystems and rural resource–based livelihoods following the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa. The project’s purpose is to strengthen the resilience of Jamaica’s forest ecosystems, institutions, and forest-dependent communities, particularly women, youth, and marginalized groups, through targeted ecological restoration, institutional capacity strengthening, and rural livelihood recovery support. Project activities include rapid damage assessments, rehabilitation of forest nurseries to drive seedling production, restoration of degraded forest areas using climate-resilient approaches, strengthening climate and gender-responsive monitoring systems, and provision of recovery grants to re-establish community livelihoods.

This project seeks to reduce the risks posed by small arms, light weapons, and ammunition to women, men, girls, and boys in Ukraine by strengthening the weapons and ammunition management (WAM) capacity of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) and delivering community-level risk education. Project activities will include the following: (1) conducting technical risk assessments of police armouries and surge storage sites in select locations, in line with international small arms control and ammunition management standards; (2) identifying gaps in NPU infrastructure, procedures, and capacity, including storage conditions, inventory systems, segregation practices, and personnel training; (3) constructing or refurbishing NPU weapons and ammunition storage facilities in line with international standards and sector best practices; (4) delivering targeted training to the NPU on the safe storage, handling, segregation, and inventory management of small arms, light weapons and ammunition; (5) integrating small arms and light weapons risk education into existing MAG explosive ordnance risk education programming; (6) delivering targeted small arms risk education, including Training of Trainers sessions for relevant national and local authorities, alongside mass media outreach and digital campaigns.

This program provides financial support to the Government of New Brunswick to foster its participation in summits, ministerial conferences and other related international Francophonie ctivities. This program promotes Canadian interests and is consistent with Canada’s political and economic objectives for the Francophonie.

Advance investment attraction for defence industry in Southern BC

This project will evaluate and refine systems that deliver FireRein’s bio-based, PFAS-free fire suppressant technology for use on Canadian Coast Guard and Navy vessels. The work will confirm reliable performance under shipboard operating conditions and demonstrate the technology’s compatibility with existing suppression equipment, helping Canada transition to safer, sustainable firefighting methods while improving operational readiness.

Advances exploratory research under the New Beginnings Initiative

This project will develop the firm's readiness to serve the Canadian defence sector by adapting its AI-powered open-source intelligence (OSINT) platform for defence applications. The reserach focuses on mapping the defence and intelligence buyer landscape, conducting stakeholder discovery, analyzing the competitive environment, developing a defence-specific go-to-market strategy, assessing technical requirements for defence use cases, and prototyping defence-oriented features such as entity monitoring and threat alerting. The project addresses Canada’s priority to strengthen domestic OSINT capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign providers, contributing to national security innovation.
