This grant supports community involvement from Chippewas of Rama First Nation in working towards the development of a shared vision for stewardship and harvesting within the boundaries of Georgian Bay Islands National Park/Beausoleil Island National Historic Site and the development of a Commemorative Integrity Statement to help guide the management of the sites.

Funding will support research and development to identify solutions to National Defence’s Challenge: Preparing for a quantum world: defence applications of quantum technologies. Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) in collaboration with Canada’s academic and defence & security communities are seeking to advance the application of quantum technologies in the defence and security domain focusing on quantum sensing and sensors (including for positioning, navigation and timing), quantum communications, and quantum computing of simulations and algorithms.

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) in collaboration with Canada’s academic and defence & security communities are seeking to advance the application of quantum technologies in the defence and security domain focusing on quantum sensing and sensors (including for positioning, navigation and timing), quantum communications, and quantum computing of simulations and algorithms.

To encourage scientific research and related scientific activities (e.g. data collection, integration, monitoring, and communication, including communication via conferences and symposia) and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the areas of: (a) Fisheries and Aquaculture Science; (b) Ecosystem Science; (c) Oceanography and Modelling; and (d) Freshwater Science.

The overarching goal (purpose) is to support enhancements in marine safety and marine environmental protection in Canadian waters, while embracing the concepts of co-development and sustainable economic development.

The Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Fund supports projects and partnerships that will help prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species.

This project is part of Global Affairs Canada's International Youth Internship Program (IYIP), funded by the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy. The IYIP aims to provide Canadian youth aged 18 to 30, particularly those facing employment barriers, with the opportunity to gain professional experience in international development.

The project implemented by the Victoria International Development Education Association (VIDEA) provides Indigenous youth, specifically Indigenous youth, with additional barriers to employment and internships varying from 3 to 6 months. It offers 187 Indigenous youth opportunities to respond to the needs articulated by local partner organizations and gain improved capacity to implement climate adaptation, youth development, gender equality, SRHR, and disability support programs. It also allows to build more inclusive, discrimination-free programs and workplaces; and access Indigenous knowledge sources.

This project aims to reduce the threat to the global population from nuclear and radiological materials. Through the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), this project seeks to promote implementing and adhering to key nuclear security-related legal frameworks. Project activities include: (1) supporting targeted outreach to Member States to provide legislative assistance with implementation; (2) organizing mock trials and scenario-based exercises for law enforcement and judicial officials to build adherence capabilities; and (3) supporting the development of tools and resources to assist and guide Member States through joining the legal conventions.

Political participation, HUMAN RIGHTS and LGBTTTIQ, through public campaigns and training and community intervention spaces for social activism and support groups in Cuba.
