The Safety and Active Travel Updates for Fort Street (Fort Street project) are part of the City of Victoria’s 33km All Ages and Abilities (AAA) priority cycling network. This phase, requesting ATF funding seeks to construct 882m of two-way protected bike lanes, 3688m of one-way protected bike lanes, crosswalk upgrades at all existing crosswalks, 7 new activated signaled crossings, new traffic signals, and new signage and road markings. Accessibility enhancements include 20 new wheelchair let-downs, 30 tactile dome mats for vision loss, and 14 audible signals (may not be eligible). Transit shelter upgrades, EV charging stations, bike parking, road paving, landscaping and street trees, and new public plaza are also included in the comprehensive improvements.

This project includes the slope stabilization, dyke repairs, levy maintenance, and floodgate and dam repairs for the Sydenham and Thames Rivers and tributaries. These assets provide transportation, power, water, wastewater, stormwater, safety and other essential services. This investment will improve the community capacity to mitigate soil stabilization systems, and reduce or eliminate flooding, which will increase the community resilience.

The new building will include large exhibition galleries, flexible event spaces, classrooms and studios for creative learning, a gift shop, café, and climate-controlled storage for their permanent collection of over 1600 art works of art.

This grant supports programming at the Malvern Aboriginal Child and Family Centre that involves the teaching, learning and recording of traditional songs to be later showcased in a soundscape installation at Rouge National Urban Park.

This contribution supports the W̱SÁNEĆ Leadership Council to participate and contribute to ecological restoration activities, cultural heritage preservation, visitor experience opportunities, and enables the leadership council to provide advice on planning and management matters as they may apply within Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

This project provides socio-legal services to Anglophone migrants in Quebec to support their access to justice in the official language of their choice. This project also consists of developing and offering tools to stakeholders called upon to serve Anglophone migrants targeted by this project, in order to improve their knowledge of immigration law and the Canadian legal system.

The purpose of the Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) contribution agreement is to support Canadian SMEs identify international partners in CIIP target countries for industrial research and development collaboration that has good potential for commercialization.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) provides international protection and assistance to the world’s refugees, stateless persons, asylum seekers, and in some instances, internally displaced persons. UNHCR searches for lasting solutions to their situations.

With the support of GAC and other donors, this project provides assistance and protection to refugees, internally displaced persons and other persons of concern between 2024-2025. Project activities include, providing lifesaving assistance to refugees and other people of concern, including protection, shelter and core relief items, health care services, water, sanitation and hygiene, cash assistance, livelihoods and socio-economic inclusion, mental health, and psychosocial support.
