Bioreactor technology has been poorly explored for marine ecosystems compared to terrestrial ecosystems, both in the context of fundamental R&D and the subsequent translation of innovations from bench to market. The consequence is that the vast majority of marine microbes have never been successfully cultured, leaving untapped the wealth of biodiversity represented by global oceans. This project will focus on addressing capability gaps in the Canadian biotechnology sector by designing and manufacturing a novel bioreactor and associated systems to support the unique technical requirements of atypical microbial fermentation using marine bioresources and marine-derived microbes. This project will provide resources and a collaborative research environment to explore innovations in bioreactor design and operations and to increase the commercial viability of fermentation processes based on marine systems.

In the current “AI Enhancement Project”, the chatbot will be expanded to be more closely integrated into scheduling and to have a better interface for customers to refine and optimize its operation.

The candidate will work as a Technical Sales Representative”. The person will support the sales activities by doing preliminary sales calls from leads generated internally by online marketing initiatives and in-person meetings. The person will also conduct follow-up calls, update our CRM and support senior sales staff. The person will demonstrate the technology and become proficient in the key technical features of the systems.

The project aims to optimize modular multi-residential design to accelerate housing construction.

This contribution supports the implementation of ecological restoration projects at 20 sites to recover approximately 28 hectares of aquatic, riparian and terrestrial habitat in Rouge National Urban Park, and complete infill planting across 7.4 hectares of previously restored habitat. This will improve ecological integrity in two major watershed ecosystems in the Greater Toronto Area and support ecosystem health in the park and neighboring communities.

This grant supports Rossport Harbour Non-Profit Marina Inc. to complete an updated land/water survey as per a recommendation in their Marine Asset Management Plan.
