Grants and Contributions

The Partnerships Engage Grants provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision-making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. The small-scale, stakeholder-driven partnerships supported through these grants are meant to respond to immediate needs and time constraints facing organizations in non-academic sectors. In addressing an organization-specific need, challenge and/or opportunity, these partnerships let non-academic organizations and postsecondary researchers access each other’s unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities on topics of mutual interest.

The Special Initiative Partnership Engage Grants COVID-19 offers the opportunity to foster knowledge exchange between partners seeking academic collaboration to respond to the COVID-19 crisis related issues, challenges and impacts.

Extended support for an additional four months and fully funded to help for students and postdoctoral researchers to complete their research projects and training which research was disrupted have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the funding was sourced within the existing agency program funds, then we do not need a new program or agreement title, description, outcomes etc. We can use the existing. And the additional information field can be used to provide the details]
[SSHRC provided unfunded interuptions to scholarship holders, which essentially was an end date extension. These were not funded. These would appear as amendments, and we would use the exisiting program, agreement, title, description, outcomes and provide the details in the additional informtio field.

The SSHRC Doctoral Scholarships Aim to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in undergraduate and graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities.

The NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships-Doctoral Program (PGS D) provides financial support to high calibre scholars who are engaged in a doctoral program in the natural sciences or engineering. This support allows these scholars to fully concentrate on their studies and seek out the best research mentors in their chosen fields.
