The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)’s "Scaling Up Gender-Inclusive and Climate-Resilient Livelihoods Program in Somalia" responds to Somalia's significant climate vulnerability and expressed need for greater climate-adaptation support. As one of the root causes of the country's cyclical and prolonged humanitarian crises, climate change in Somalia requires an increased focus on inclusive and conflict-sensitive natural resource management, climate-related disaster risk planning, climate-resilient livelihoods and inclusive and gender-sensitive governance. This project aims to fund activities that fulfill these objectives through 2 joint United Nations programmes.

This project aims to enhance equal enjoyment of comprehensive SRHR by marginalized people including women and girls, in all their diversity, at the global and local levels. Project activities include: (1) training beneficiaries (adolescents and other marginalized people) to effectively advocate for SRHR legal changes and better implementation of legal services; (2) training community volunteers to increase community awareness about safe abortion and facilitate referrals; and (3) creating meaningful SRHR engagement opportunities for youth at key global events.

Project activities include: (1) hosting ATT Expert Group meetings to discuss the benefits of ATT accession, promote cooperation, and share experiences among African ATT States Parties; (2) publishing three ATT Expert Group briefing papers; (3) organizing side events to promote ATT accession and implementation in East Africa on the margins of relevant UN meetings; (4) facilitating the participation and engagement of East African officials in formal ATT meetings; (5) conducting an initial assessment of ATT implementation capacity in two East African States; and (6) producing a briefing paper on gender and the ATT.

This seeks to enable them to design and launch impact-focused and gender-inclusive solutions targeted towards underserved markets in emerging and developing countries.

This project seeks to further Canada’s support to Ukraine’s digital resilience by providing targeted cyber training courses to Ukrainian government agencies. It is imperative to bolster Ukraine's cyber defences and enhance its ability to rebuild and modernize its critical digital infrastructure. Strengthening these capabilities is not just a strategic necessity for Ukraine, but also a crucial step toward ensuring the stability of global cybersecurity networks. As malicious cyber activity can target Canadians or Canadian interests from any part of the world, it is essential that Canada works to ensure all states have the tools and capacity to effectively combat cyber threats that might emanate from their country, while also working with allies to secure global networks.

Project activities include : (1) training in Gender-Based Analysis+ (GBA+) to relevant national authorities to strengthen their capacity to deliver inclusive recovery initiatives; (2) supporting the national Ministry for Restoration to strengthen its capacity to analyze and communicate recovery data; (3) training and supporting local authorities on strategic planning, project management and results reporting; (4) training and supporting local civil society organizations to strengthen their capacity to represent vulnerable communities; and (5) granting funding to selected local recovery projects.

It takes a comprehensive approach to advancing SRHR by going beyond health services to address gendered inequalities, discriminatory social norms and institutional structures.

The project aims to empower displaced people and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the Mayo-Tsanaga and Mayo-Sava districts of Cameroon’s Far North region and the Gressier and Léogâne communes in Haiti’s Ouest department.

It also aims to increase transparency and accountability in inclusive, gender-responsive public planning and service delivery for minority women and girls’ rights holders through training and an estimated 740 responsibility holders, 670 elected officials, 10 networks and 390 community based organizations/women’s rights organizations (CBO/WROs).

The project aims to increase women and girls' access to civic and political leadership opportunities in Chile, Bolivia, Honduras, Peru, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina to achieve better representation and gender equality. Over a 24-month period, the project would monitor and document the impact of information manipulation on women participating in electoral processes through national-level surveys and statistical analysis, conduct training and workshops to equip women candidates and activists with strategies to identify and combat gendered information manipulation, and launch awareness and advocacy campaigns to educate the public and policymakers on its effects on women's political participation.
