Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Vocational and Civic Engagement for Persons with Disabilities: A Comprehensive Program for Employment and Civic Engagement in Thimphu and Tashigang districts, Bhutan.

The project aims to create hands-on learning opportunities including participating in robotics lessons, taking part in a young astronaut camps in the communities and other activities related to space (astronomy, coding). Together, we can dream about the bright possibilities for our future!

Camp Artemis – Join the Moon Mission boot camp will inspire youth to become the next generation of explorers by increasing their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The interactive activities of the boot camp will allow Indigenous students to see how a career in STEM can allow them to play a role in Canada’s space program. Saskatchewan Polytechnic will create a one-day STEM, and space science and technology boot camp for Indigenous Youth, ages 12 to 18. Each boot camp has been designed with input from Indigenous communities to inspire and engage Indigenous learners to pursue STEM and space-related studies and careers. The boot camp will also be offered through our Surge micro credential platform, with the student receiving a micro credential digital badge.

This project aims to advance the state of Reaction Dynamics’ (RDX) proprietary hybrid rocket technology for the production of an orbital transportation system. The project will focus on providing a technology demonstration of RDX’s orbital hybrid engine (RE-20X) in an in-flight configuration. The flight demonstration includes the key hybrid rocket technologies achieving in-space flight capability. Objectives of this project include: validation to TRL 7 of the fluid systems, hybrid thrust chamber, and avionics control of the propulsion system. Activities supporting the objectives include: integrating the hybrid engine, modifying and integrating the avionics, adapting the fluid systems, and performing an integrated stage test. Reaction Dynamics is in a unique position with respect to this project as being itself a launch provider. The demonstration aims for commercial orbital launches using the demonstrated systems and rapid growth.

The objectives for CSC are to create, promote and facilitate access to service opportunities that are meaningful to young Canadian, and support lasting civic engagement, as well as to provide youth with life and work skills.

Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
