This project consists of a two-day conference focused on Canada’s plan to increase defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035 and its implications for procurement, industrial capacity, and national security. 

The project consists of a publication featuring seven expert essays exploring emerging defence and security threats across multiple domains. 

To encourage scientific research and related scientific activities (e.g. data collection, integration, monitoring, and communication, including communication via conferences and symposia) and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the areas of: (a) Fisheries and Aquaculture Science; (b) Ecosystem Science; (c) Oceanography and Modelling; and (d) Freshwater Science.

The objectives of the Program are to; support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges;.develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities; foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues; recognize and support the ability of not-for-profit organizations to identify and address social development priorities; and, recognize and promote community engagement initiatives (e.g. volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, innovation, partnerships, coalitions) that mobilize community assets and develop capacities and resources for action..

The objective of the EAF is to support community based projects across Canada that improve accessibility, remove barriers, and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their community.

This project aims to enhance the capacity of national and sub-national governments to integrate wildfire risk management as a standardized component of regional, national, and local disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategies. The project seeks to bolster country resilience to wildfires across Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting evidence-based decision-making for wildfire risk reduction, strengthening technical capacity for improved governance to reduce wildfire risk, and integrating sustainable wildfire management practices into national and local planning through multi-stakeholder collaboration and public-private partnerships.

This Project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of law enforcement agencies and improve border infrastructure through the provision of equipment and specialized trainings on countering violent extremism and organized crime, while institutionalizing standardized border management curriculum and SOPs in Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia. The Project will enhance regional coordination through trainings, joint workshops, and operational mechanisms such as Integrated/Coordinated Border Management Committees, Joint Operations Centres, and cross-border taskforces. The Project will also reinforce community engagement and policing (CEP) and strengthen early warning mechanisms in border communities by developing standardized CEP training curriculum, monitoring frameworks, and community forums.

This three-year (2026-29) UNODC implemented project aims to disrupt illicit financial flows that enable the production and trafficking of synthetic drugs, including illicit fentanyl, and their precursor chemicals, reducing threats to global health, safety, and security.

This initiative aims to strengthen maritime security and disrupt criminal networks operating along key maritime mobility corridors in the North Caribbean, with a focus on Haiti. The project will enhance regional cooperation among countries including Haiti, Jamaica, The Bahamas, and the Dominican Republic.

This project aims to support the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to: (1) investigate and determine the full scope of the Syrian Arab Republic’s chemical weapons programme and identify all declarable elements; (2) support the Syrian Arab Republic to produce a chemical weapons destruction plan; and (3) investigate allegations of past chemical weapons use in Syria and identify the perpetrators.
