This project aims to identify opportunities to leverage Canada's position as a supplier of sustainably produced food and to develop solutions that facilitate exports, increase value, drive growth.

Establish the Northern Technician Program and the Northern Remediation Monitoring Program in the Northwest Territories. These programs aim to promote economic growth and environmental remediation in the NWT by fostering partnerships among government agencies, private businesses, and local communities. Collaboration is crucial for the project's success. The project prioritizes developing training and capacity-building programs for affected communities and workers, enabling them to engage in the remediation economy.

The NSRTP will also connect employers with trainers, tracking employer requests for training and identifying gaps where programs are not currently available. The NSRTP will create synergy within regional training partners and provide leadership in identifying and responding to short and long-term labour market needs in the North Slave region of the Northwest Territories.

The Government of Canada has launched the Strategic Partnership Initiatives (SPI) to facilitate collaboration, reduce administrative burden, and pool resources to support Indigenous communities.

This project aims to increase sexual and reproductive autonomy among women and girls in Bolivia, Indonesia and Nigeria by empowering them to decide on their sexual and reproductive health and increasing access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) services. Project activities include: (1) providing comprehensive sexuality education to youth, including accurate reproductive health information; (2) training health care workers to deliver gender- and trauma-informed compassionate care to all women and girls, especially survivors of violence; (3) fostering community-led action against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), which includes training community and humanitarian aid workers on SGBV, power inequities and trauma-informed care; (4) implementing a sexual and reproductive health and abortion self-care model with community leaders in new intervention sites; and (5) reaching women and youth via digital tools with information on SRHR and sexual violence prevention.

Over 60,000 women and girls will be directly reached through engagement, knowledge building and expanded sexual and reproductive health services, including safe abortion and post-abortion care. Also, the project expects to reach 500,000 women and girls through digital platforms and communications campaigns.

With support from GAC, Doctors of the World is helping to improve the health status of crisis-affected people, particularly women and adolescent girls, in Valle del Cauca, Nariño, and the Ipiales – Cali – Pereira migration route. Project activities include: 1) providing primary health care, SRH services, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to vulnerable refugee and migrant populations as well as host communities; and 2) providing training to improve quality of the above mentioned services to crisis-affected populations.
