The work of this project revolves around the planned entry to market a new iteration of a medical imaging device. The process includes sales, marketing, mapping reimbursement landscape, customer support, and other operations supporting the development, distribution, and management of a new product line. The Graduate’s contribution to the initiative pertains to sales, marketing, customer communication, and organizational elements.

This project is to hire a full time employee to act as a Research and Communications Assistant. They will work with the founders of the company and report to the founders. They will be involved in market and product development research and first level communications to the groups detailed in the research.

Own Health, a medical startup in Ontario, is planning to hire a Junior Software Developer to enhance the company's innovative Limb Preservation Care pathway. The project aims to refine Own Health's current digital tools, Snap Shot and Doctor Dash, to further integrate virtual and in-person healthcare services. The initiative will advance Own Health's mission of delivering preventive and accessible care for patients at risk of non-traumatic limb loss. The developer will play a crucial role in building Own Health open API system, improving Own Health patient journey capture, and automating key tasks, contributing to the company's goals of scalability and accessibility.

Own Health all-in-one platform transforms patient journeys, integrating collaborative tools (Doctor Dash, Snap Shot), automating workflows, and mapping local infrastructure for limb preservation. Dedicated to vulnerable populations at high amputation risk, the firm will onboard 4 Long Term Care facilities, 2 community health centers, and 2 rural regions. The firm's aim: an integrated holistic service. The firm will iterate, develop, and create a distributed provider network sharing valuable data to mitigate complexities. Collaborating with local infrastructure, they showcase value-based care as a viable method in Ontario and beyond. This 3 month project will focus on the North Toronto Region, Muskoka Region and Grey Bruce.
