Symend is launching a company-wide initiative to integrate generative and agentic AI across operations and products. This effort centers on two platforms: One automates the behavioral engagement strategy lifecycle using multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and behavioral science; and the other streamlines business process workflows.

The Firm will digitize and automate its engineering document control processes. With support from NRC IRAP, the firm will upgrade from Autodesk Vault Basic to Vault Professional, enabling structured version control, automated release workflows, and secure access for non-CAD users. The project enhances consistency, compliance, and efficiency across production documentation—minimizing rework, improving traceability, and reducing engineering administrative burden.

Advancing agronomy by way of data collection cross-platform application and by development of web-based farm-planning tool.

This project will test hypotheses and experiment with new mechanisms to design a repeatable and scalable business process, which may result in new business methods in commercial irrigation.

This project will research the commercial level processes required to produce protein rich mycelium powder. The key components of the research will include parameters to increase mycelial yield (fresh), protocols for pasteurizing substrate, optimal drying processes and assessing current customer landscape for a functional ingredient product.

To develop Solar Tile product for replacement of steel roofs. Leverage resources to provide guidance for complying with the relevant safety and performance standards related to the solar tile and advise through specific construction and testing requirements, to provide product design guidance and assist with documentation preparation.
These pre-certification works include:
1) Custom R&D Test Plan Prep, Program Management and testing lab Assistance.
2) Technical Design Preview.
3) Product Risk Assessment.
4) Pre-certification testing.

To complete testing of 2 new components of new RPMachine, which are subject of new IP, and to design and complete design revisions for the full-scale RPMachine incorporating these 2 components. The new IP relates to a new process for heating feedstock and forming blocks that relies on 2 proprietary components: 1) the heat transfer unit ("HTU"), and 2) the block forming press ("BFP"). The design and fabricated pilot versions of these components will be tested during the first phase of the project. At the end of the project there will be a design for a full-scale RPMachine.

Haliburton Forest Biochar (HFB) has been developing novel biochar technology and new markets for biochar for seven years. The purpose of this project is to scale current processes and continue the advancement new high value markets for biochar. The project addresses the major hurdle of the lack of supply of high-quality biochar in Ontario and lack of a high-value market for biochar through scaling a commercial high-performance biomaterial replacement for fossil fuel products in the automotive foam and construction sector. To achieve these HFB is seeking to increase its internal engineering capacity to support optimization of existing process and designing and installing new processes.

To develop a portable breast cancer imaging device using very low power microwave technology. Aiming to bring the device to the market to monitor breast tissue composition to detect worrisome changes and measure neoadjuvant treatment effect. Long term goal is to be an adjunct technology for breast cancer screening and first line screening equipment for remote communities.

ICARUS Aero Inc. is expanding into international co-innovation programs, introducing an EO/IR camera mount solution for helicopters and building partnerships in the European market, with initial efforts focused on Germany and the broader EASA region.
