Funding under the Innovator Stream will support continued research and development of solutions under National Defence’s Funding for Canadian Innovators and Accelerators of DIANA (FCIA-DIANA) program.

This project is mostly about the use and management of forest resources and Indigenous participation in the forest industy.

A STEM outreach program supporting after-school science clubs for elementary students, encouraging girls and Indigenous youth participation through hands-on learning.

The proposed project will address flooding risks and erosion along the Lake Ontario shoreline in the Town of Lincoln. The planned shoreline improvements and road relocations will enable year-round access to the lakefront residences, businesses, farms, and parks.Our project will adapt the existing shoreline to address rising water levels in Lake Ontario as observed in 2017 and 2019. The increased lake levels, in combination with high winds, wakes and severe storm events, have caused significant road damage and shoreline erosion. Our project aims to relocate existing roads damaged by flooding and erosion, and to improve shoreline protection infrastructure in preparation for future events.

This project will continue the development of a fully biodegradable high-performance glow stick that meets NATO military requirements.

This project will support the delivery of the Global Health Security Conference 2026, which will convene a multi-sectoral community of health security stakeholders across diverse sectors and disciplines to discuss current and emerging biological threats and strengthen partnerships. Project activities include: (1) execution of the four-day Conference; (2) delivery of bursary program for health security experts and students from low-income countries; and (3) dedicated panels on biothreat reduction and women in global health security leadership roles.

The initiative proposes a fellowship program to establish a Canadian-Indo Pacific research institute at OP Jindal Global University in India, managed by Wilfrid Laurier University. The program will fund Canadian scholars for research placements focused on sustainable trade, ESG compliance, and gender equity in the workforce.

These grants support research projects led by strong, complementary, collaborative teams that will generate new knowledge and accelerate the application of research results to create benefits for Canada.
