The objective of the proposed project is to advance the concept of an innovative miniaturized instrument, which uses a novel measurement concept for high spatial resolution and high sensitivity satellite-based methane monitoring. The precision of the methane column density measurement is expected to be up to two times better than current technologies, thereby significantly advancing the state of the art in satellite remote sensing of methane. Furthermore, the proposed instrument will have several practical advantages over current technologies including simplified design, reduced manufacturing cost, and increased operational flexibility. Benefits to Canada include the direct application of space technology to fight climate change. The technology is not only applicable for GHGSat’s next generation constellation, but also for hosted payload opportunities and potentially other commercial and governmental Earth observation missions. This instrument concept will help ensure continued leadership of Canada in high-resolution monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions at individual industrial facilities from space.

This project will, through a deep contextual design exercise, design, prototype, and evaluate a suite of gameful technologies that foster discussions about successful aging between older adults, their family, friends, and caregivers. First, the team will examine common sources of miscommunication between older adults and their peers. Second, low-fidelity prototypes will be designed to explore how gameful technology can guide and motivate communication between older adults and their peers. Third, the prototypes will then be collaboratively designed and evaluated through joint design workshops involving the researchers, and older adults and caregivers with lived experience. Finally, a medium-fidelity prototype will be developed to combine successful design features from the joint design workshop for a week-long field study. The research will improve our understanding of how communication technologies can support older adults aging in place and provide design guidance for researchers and practitioners developing such technology.

We plan to hire a digital marketing specialist to research the market and target at IT/Service/Public market segment and create digital marketing plans and execute them and report on key metrics.

A new Product Manager to assist in the requirements gathering of new software enhancements and features and to help manage the technology roadmap, being a key liaison between users, management and the engineers.

In the proposed project, we will conduct a formal analysis of hazards and risks for our point-of-care diagostic platform. This comprehensive evaluation of potential failure modes will be the foundation for a series of recommendations to mitigate failures or detect them when they occur.
