In June 2016, as part of the Open Government Action Plan, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) committed to increasing the transparency and usefulness of grants and contribution data and subsequently launched the Guidelines on the Reporting of Grants and Contributions Awards, effective April 1, 2018.
The rules and principles governing government grants and contributions are outlined in the Treasury Board Policy on Transfer Payments. Transfer payments are transfers of money, goods, services or assets made from an appropriation to individuals, organizations or other levels of government, without the federal government directly receiving goods or services in return, but which may require the recipient to provide a report or other information subsequent to receiving payment. These expenditures are reported in the Public Accounts of Canada. The major types of transfer payments are grants, contributions and \'other transfer payments\'.
Included in this category, but not to be reported under proactive disclosure of awards, are (1) transfers to other levels of government such as Equalization payments as well as Canada Health and Social Transfer payments. (2) Grants and contributions reallocated or otherwise redistributed by the recipient to third parties; and (3) information that would normally be withheld under the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

The NumArt project targets the following activities: Digitize, describe and preserve 25,342 photographs, which comprise the artistic and cultural photographic heritage of the Franco-Saskatchewanian community from 1974 to 2000, assembled in the collections of the Conseil culturel fransaskois and the newspaper L’Eau vive. Train and educate Francophones in archival processing. Promote this heritage through virtual exhibitions, publications and community and school activities.

Preservation of Pioneers and Developers Archives (1783-1957)

The project has four main objectives: (1) to digitize the collection of approximately 5.0 linear meters of textual records and more than 2700 portraits, in relation with the pioneers and developers that came to live in Brome County and surrounding areas, beginning in 1783; (2) to preserve these documents according to accepted Canadian standards; (3) to describe and upload a visual copy of each document onto the Eastern Townships Archives Portal, accessible to the public; (4) to help renew our museum's permanent exhibits with new visual and descriptive material.

The solution has a 2-inch form factor with no battery and display which makes it super portable and to be used anywhere anytime. In this project, TempBuddy is designed and developed to achieve ±0.1? reading accuracy. This level of accuracy accompanied by data tracking capability in the app, enable users to precisely monitor their body temperature on a regular basis and make elaborated well-being decisions. One example is the time of widespread diseases that causes fever in patients like covid or flu.
