Simply Embedded’s experience in design services has led the firm to develop a product offering aimed at helping businesses bring secure IOT devices to the market faster while saving on development costs. This project involves both hardware and firmware components which will be sold to customers as a hardware-as-a-service and connectivity-as-a-service offering.

The Project will undertake research to assess the potential contribution of different technology solutions to reducing the full environmental impacts of marine shipping. One objective of this work is to produce a report on the current state of technologies supporting environmental impact reduction of shipping. A second objective is to develop an assessment framework tool to evaluate and prioritize technology development efforts that will minimize the total environmental impact of marine shipping, and thereby accelerate efforts in achieving the ultimate goal of ‘zero-impact shipping’. The definition of environmental impact in the Project not only includes the 2050 net-zero GHG emissions target but also includes additional environmental impacts like air, water pollution and impact on ocean life.

Development of a mixed manufacturing process (continuous and batch) allowing to respect some essential criteria for the yield and the synthesis of ATP for cosmetic products.

The proposed project will determine suitability of by-product Ahiflower press cake and/or micronized seed as a beneficial feed amendment for egg layer hens, examining eggshell strength, egg yolk composition, and culinary egg parameters. The project will also introduce this novel feedstock material to CFIA as a research material for possible future novel feed materials approval. This upcycled material has exceptionally high calcium and silica content and an excellent overall balance of omega-3-6-9 fatty acids. Project success could improve sustainability, resilience, and competitiveness for Canadian poultry egg producers while increasing overall margins, productivity, and competitiveness for Natures Crops International.

Introduce Composite Antenna Technology for LEO Applications

eThor's current product offers pay at table software for the restaurant industry. We retrieve and display receipts on a credit card payment terminal and provide a user interface to process credit card transactions. Recently, customers are demanding the ability to also use the same payment device to create and insert orders into the point of sale system.

This provides a variety of different technical challenges, especially across multiple different point of sale systems which have different data models. We are also going to have to take the technology we've built for legacy POS systems which gets deployed on-premise and re-invent the process entirely in the cloud with new technology.

To provide technical employment for a graduate in the field of engineering and Sciences. The team member is responsible for materials synthesis, characterization, and evaluation.

Lithium extraction from lower concentration brine sources with nanotechnology composite. The project focuses on lab work on the brine samples from the Alberta source to select and optimize the nanomaterial composites specifically for this source.
