The objective of this project is to combine optical sensors with artificial intelligence and deep learning to deliver milk quality information on components such as ketosis, lactose, urea, protein, cleaning agents and blood in milk, to a larger set of farms with real-time analytics.

The objective of this project is to increase oilseed processing efficiency and recover higher volumes of oil during the extraction process by evaluating new crush technologies, the use of solvent extraction technologies and the opportunity to develop a co-product soil amendment for mushroom production.

Additionally, a gap-analysis will be undertaked to identify current and future investment opportunities, and inform the framework for the next Indigenous Economic Forum. The proponent will organize and host the forum, which will focus on the creation of an Economic Development Roadmap.

The key objective of the ALLESP is to improve the awareness of adult learning, literacy and essential skills among partners, stakeholders and employers and the application and integration of literacy and essential skills into their programs and activities.

In collaboration with National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) worldwide, including NRC, the BIPM fulfills its mandate of providing the basis for a single, coherent system of measurements throughout the world, traceable to the International System of Units (SI). This mandate is carried out through a series of consultative committees whose members are the national metrology laboratories of the Member States, and through the BIPM’s own laboratory work, which includes carrying out measurement-related research and calibrations in selected areas for some Member States, depending on the technical sophistication of their NMIs.

The objective of this project is to model and test hydrokinetic turbines to determine local and time-variant turbine blade loads. This model will be applied to determine blade loading and turbine interaction to real-life cases, proving its usefulness as an engineering design tool. Ultimately, this validated numerical method will be used to study the load behaviour on turbine blades as a function of various parameters (type of tidal flow, turbine design, turbine arrangement in an array, etc.) to extract a body of knowledge useful for engineers. The knowledge of spatio-temporal load variations is the starting point of material fatigue studies which will narrow down the estimated lifetime of turbine blades while in operation. Such
knowledge will have a great impact on risk assessment and overall system operation cost.

Solid-state quantum emitters (QEs), which have potential applications in quantum cryptography and distributed quantum networks, have very recently been discovered in direct band gap semiconductors formed from excitons in single-layer transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) localized by strain. This project brings together world-renowned experts from NRC in the fabrication of site-selected solid-state QEs and the Dalhousie Ultrafast Quantum Control Group who has developed internationally-unique optimal quantum control strategies for such emitters with the goal to advance the promising new system of TMD QEs for applications in quantum technology.

This may include, but is not limited to, criminal investigations, civil litigation, relevant administrative boards or tribunals, peace bonds and emergency protection orders, family law proceedings, internal disciplinary proceedings in institutions, organizations, and businesses, and other legal routes.

The objective of paying the annual assessed contribution is to enable Canada to meet its financial obligations to the Conference as well as fulfilling Canada's international policy objectives by participating in the work of the organization.
