The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to develop a comprehensive multi-year project aimed at decreasing gun and gang violence in the City of Lloydminster.

The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to develop a comprehensive multi-year project aimed at decreasing gun and gang violence in the City of Lloydminster.

Through this 39-month project, the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society (ACEHS) will build its capacity to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, focusing on individuals with lived experience of homelessness in Victoria, BC. This will be achieved by engaging with unhoused and at-risk 2SLGBTQQIA+ Indigenous youth to develop a youth housing model that addresses their identified needs; undertaking foundational planning toward piloting and evaluating a Social Enterprise; and developing a series of policies, toolkits, resources, and training modules for staff and volunteers that strengthen ACEHS’ programs preventing violence.

By the end of the project, ACEHS will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, focusing on individuals with lived experience of homelessness

Through this 15-month project, Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP) will develop community-informed initiatives to overcome key issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ communities, with a focus on racialized trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming individuals and, in particular, those who are newcomers, in the Greater Toronto Area. This will be achieved through 1) a community needs assessment; 2) capacity-building skills workshops, peer ambassador trainings and mentorships; 3) one-on-one education and support; 4) community support group; and 5) post-program focus group.

By the end of the project, ASAAP will have supported a community-informed project to address key issues facing 2SLGBTQ+ communities and advance equality for 2SLGBTQ+ people, with a focus on racialized trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming individuals.

Through this 57-month project, Keepers of the Circle will increase its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people, with a focus on northern Ontario. This will be achieved by developing a First Nations, Inuit and Métis-centered governance/operational policy structure for Keepers of the Circle; engaging with women with lived expertise, like-minded organizations, and knowledge keepers to build consensus, policy, and advocacy around the provision of culturally rooted sheltering and transitional housing services as a mechanism to end GBV and on trauma-informed care; and then sharing and promoting the results.

This project will engage Tahiuqtiit Women’s Organization in the Northwest Territories, as an expert in the field, as well as survivors, and front-line providers.

By the end of the project, Keepers of the Circle will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people in Northern Ontario.

With the Supplemental funds and extension provided in early 2026, the Temiskaming Native Women's Support Group (operating name: Keepers of the Circle) will create a culturally rooted, trauma-informed, LGTBQ+2S, and intersectional training program for staff working within Indigenous women's shelters, emergency shelter units, and second stage/transitional housing; a decolonized Board of Directors governance model; a wraparound services model of care for Indigenous women's shelters and second stage/transitional housing; culturally informed recruitment process to address capacity gaps and challenges within the housing sector; and provide recommendations to lndigenize the Women's Shelter Canada's Refer Her training program.

Through this 56-month project, Nova Scotia Native Women’s Association (NSNWA) will increase its capacity to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) throughout on and off reserve communities in Nova Scotia by strengthening the capacity of its 16 chapters. Each chapter’s capacity will be increased by offering training, tools, and guidance on financial management, proposal writing, communications, project management and strategic planning.

By the end of the project, NSNWA and its chapters will have strengthened their capacity to prevent and address GBV against Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGTBQQIA+ people, with a focus on the implementation of a community mobilization system through increased services offered across the province of Nova Scotia.

Through this 39-month project, the Cree Women of Eeyou Istchee Association (CWEIA) will increase its ability to prevent and address gender-based violence (GBV) against Indigenous women, girls, or 2SLGBTQI+ people, with a focus on indigenous women from the Eeyou Istchee territory in Quebec.

The key objective of the ALLESP is to improve the awareness of adult learning, literacy and essential skills among partners, stakeholders and employers and the application and integration of literacy and essential skills into their programs and activities.

Project Consultation to serve as the entry to the following programs & services: digital infrastructure, website, industry & artist development, mapped and industry promotion, outreach and analysis.
