The objectives of the Program are to; support the development and utilization of effective approaches to address social issues and challenges;.develop, exchange and apply knowledge, tools and resources that address social needs of individuals, families and communities; foster partnerships and networks to address existing and emerging social issues; recognize and support the ability of not-for-profit organizations to identify and address social development priorities; and, recognize and promote community engagement initiatives (e.g. volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, innovation, partnerships, coalitions) that mobilize community assets and develop capacities and resources for action..

The WER Pilot Program will explore pre-employment, skills development supports as well as models to improve workplace inclusivity. In projects where employers are involved, the program will work with the employers to improve access to employment, or retention in the workplace to improve programming for women in target groups.

The Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to nurture the interest of the students and fully develop their potential for a research career in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage students to undertake graduate studies in these fields. Students who would like to gain research experience in an academic setting, these awards can provide financial support through the hosting university. NSERC encourages qualified Aboriginal students to apply to this program.

These projects will support an Elders Gathering on the land to develop the future direction of ALS, and the Strategic plan which will provide a clear path and roadmap for a broader journey of continued growth, innovation and service excellence.

Know Your Customer (“KYC”) is a key obligation in finance and the company is aiming to streamline the burden of KYC to provide benefits to all Canadians using financial services.

Prosaris has developed an ultrasonic leak detector that detects, locates and quantifies small gas leaks. This project builds on previous achievements by introducing FPGAs as a means to improve processing capability and product robustness. Through software and firmware innovations, we will also significantly improve our ability to recognize characteristic leaks, eliminate unwanted noise, further improve quantification, add support for partial discharge detection and explore further features which will benefit from more intelligent sound recognition from our solution.

The Public Health Agency of Canada and the National Research Council of Canada are seeking to facilitate the development of a field portable SARS-CoV-2 wastewater detection device that incorporates sampling, analysis, data storage and date transmission.
