This project will also help support capacity building in Africa by showcasing Canadian best practices in mine site safety, and featuring presenters with expertise in Canada's policy and regulatory regime, who can speak to key safety challenges faced by mining companies in host countries (with a particular focus on the Africa context), while providing a venue for Canadian mining suppliers to present their innovative technologies and solutions to a curated audience. The mine site safety program will include the following information: 1. Canada's mining story, and the evolution of health and safety at Canadian mine sites 2. An overview of Canadian safety standards and initiatives, at the Federal and Provincial and Territorial level. 3. Introduction to the major stakeholders involved in Canada's safety regime (IAA, PT governments, etc.), and global safety standards adoption and by Canadian mining companies operating at home and abroad. 4. An overview of Canadian services and technologies currently available and deployed at mine sites internationally, including digitization for underground mining, ventilation, remote monitoring, etc. with a particular focus on application in African mining project.

This project intends to redefine operations with necessary technological augmentations to offer a seamless customer and provider experience, alongside increased service quality.

Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage - Local Arts and Heritage Festivals

The primary goal of the Northern Circle of Youth project is to create opportunities that will support urban Indigenous youth ages 6-17 in enhancing their personal, economic and social growth in a culturally sensitive, safe and drug/alcohol-free environment. The project will offer afterschool activities and the programs, services and activities provided will be delivered in a holistic, inclusive manner that will be conducive to meeting the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the urban Indigenous youth population. Programs, services and activities will include (but are not limited to) the following components: Sports & Recreation, Health, Culture, Social Issues, Community Engagement & Leadership and Employment/Education/Training.

Establishment of a tourist accommodation business: the project aims to establish a new tourist accommodation business operating in the field of four-season tourist accommodations.

Developing a full-scale oyster farm

Modernization of existing tourism accommodation facility

Host the Magnetic North business conference in October of 2023.

Grant as part of the Participant Funding Program to Aseniwuche Winewak Nation to support CER's engagement of Indigenous groups to assist in the co-development of an approach to Indigenous involvement in compliance and oversight for the NOVA Gas Transmission Limited (NGTL) System Expansion Project.

Contribution as part of the Participant Funding Program to Tsuut'ina Nation to assist in preparing for and engaging in Indigenous consultation activities and public participation opportunities associated with the assessment process for the Crown Mountain Coking Coal Project.
