Project activities include: (1) providing training and support to local health facilities; (2) providing case-management and other services to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV); and (3) engaging with community stakeholders to improve reporting of and response to SGBV and other protection risks.

The World Bank provides hands-on technical assistance and policy dialogue support to national and local authorities in Peru and Colombia on policy priorities.

Project activities include: (1) securing access to cleaner energy by providing alternative cooking fuel through continued provision of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) instead of firewood to reduce deforestation in CXB; (2) contributing to environmental and ecosystem protection by restoring local forestland and watershed, with a view to enhance climate resilience to landslides, flooding and droughts; (3) developing and updating environmental and watershed management plans using participatory planning at territorial level; (4) providing technical support for a multi-sectoral joint monitoring platform for environmental and socio-ecological assessments; (5) promoting renewable energy technology in farming communities; and (6) training Rohingya women beneficiaries in resilience building through green skills development.

Project activities include: (1) providing primary health care services and training support for local health facilities; (2) identifying and treating acute malnutrition; (3) rehabilitating or establishing water points and sanitation facilities in targeted communities; and (4) providing gender-based violence services to at-risk women and children.

With GAC’s support, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and their local partner, Young Power in Social Action, are helping improve the health and safety of Rohingya refugees by providing integrated gender-based violence prevention and response services.

It seeks to mobilize a multi-disciplinary “rapid response” team of local and international experts to provide technical assistance and capacity-building for recovery and reconstruction in such diverse fields as disaster risk management, engineering, environmental management, environmental and social safeguards, gender equality, disability inclusion, procurement, and public financial management.

Project activities include: (1) training on business and financial administration, environmentally and climate-resilient production practices, and social responsibility; (2) providing technological innovation packages; (3) delivering awareness-raising sessions to market actors and service providers on gender-sensitive services; (4) developing advocacy plans with women’s rights organizations to influence public policies and programs; and (5) delivering awareness-raising campaigns and workshops to key community and economic stakeholders, and local authorities to improve policies and programs in support of Indigenous women and youth’s economic empowerment, rights, and environmental sustainability.

To guarantee the longevity and sustainability of agroforestry systems (“Creole gardens”), the project also seeks to improve producers’ ability to adapt to climate change, encourage the creation of skills to adapt agroforestry to climate change by ensuring training curricula are suitable, and build the governance capacity of local and departmental bodies with regard to climate change adaptation.
