Project activities include: (1) providing support to education actors (such as teachers) to develop, test and implement, gender-transformative tools and approaches to deliver comprehensive sexuality education and life skills curriculum content; (2) providing support to community groups working in education to enhance and adapt approaches and innovations related to girls’ education and empowerment; (3) conducting participatory design process with teacher training providers to integrate gender-transformative and inclusive approaches and content to existing teacher training curricula; and (4) s providing support to local education actors to advocate for gender transformative education policy enhancements and implementation.

The project seeks to improved access to protection services and gender-responsive assistance for refugees, in particular women and girls, and enhance their socio-economic inclusion and resilience through employment and entrepreneurship training.

The project supports these communities to develop recovery action plans and manage recovery initiatives that are gender-responsive, citizen-oriented, environmentally sustainable, and aligned with national policies and European Union (EU) accession criteria.

This includes: (1) strengthening the institutional capacity of local governments and other key stakeholders through technical assistance to manage climate risks and implement adaptation measures based on gender-responsive climate policies and multi-level governance mechanisms that include active participation from local communities, particularly women and youth; (2) collaborating with financial institutions to develop innovative credit enhancement mechanisms that facilitate access to financing for EbA interventions, particularly climate-smart agriculture, multifunctional restoration, and sustainable food systems; and (3) providing women and youth-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the financial resources needed to adopt climate-resilient practices and scale up their operations.

This project aims to increase economic opportunities for vulnerable youth, particularly young women, in two border regions in southeastern Senegal, namely Tambacounda and Kédougou, which are affected by unemployment, low agricultural productivity exacerbated by climate change, and deeply rooted gender inequalities.

The project's activities include: 1) strengthening the capacities of communities, educational actors, and authorities to reduce gender and age-based barriers and to maintain them in educational programs at the middle and secondary levels, as well as technical and vocational training; 2) developing and delivering academic and technical and vocational training programs that are adapted to the specific conditions of markets and the climate-smart green economy; 3) strengthening employment hubs and professional integration cells to prepare and guide young people towards educational pathways and green economy jobs; 4) implementing a literacy and financial literacy support program that takes into account the differentiated vulnerability factors of young people.

It provides flexible funding, capacity-building, and public engagement opportunities to support poverty reduction and address key development challenges, such as gender equality. The project helps SMOs design and implement impactful development projects by removing barriers like limited funding and insufficient capacity.

Working primarily with women, ICAS-HKH aims to support communities, women’s and Indigenous Peoples’ groups and local institutions to design and implement gender-responsive interventions to improve springshed management, address water scarcity and provide renewable energy technology for irrigation systems. ICAS-HKH seeks to promote the development and implementation of gender-responsive policies, strategies and guidelines by local government institutions to enable the scaling up of the approach.

This project aims to reduce gender-based violence (GBV) against girls, adolescents, and young women aged 11 to 28 in 4 regions of Colombia including Medellín, Cali, Uribia, and Dibulla.

COMPETE seeks to build the capacity of local Trade Support institutions to deliver gender-responsive services and support and women-owned or led SMEs to expand trade relationships with established Canadian buyers.

Through this 25-month project, North Bay Pride will address the needs and barriers to equality for 2SLGBTQI+ communities. This will be achieved by (1) creating a Community Advisory Group representing diverse voices; (2) conducting a Needs Assessment to identify barriers to inclusion for diverse members in the 2SLGBTQI+ Community, and action steps to address them; (3) validating the Needs Assessment / Action plan with 2SLGBTQI+ Intersectional Groups; (4) piloting targeted activities to address barriers to diverse 2SLGBTQI+ engagement, one of which is the development of accessible platforms; and (5) mobilizing information and resources to the broader community and so address the specific needs of diverse 2SLGBTQI+ people.
