• This Priority Announcement will fund pediatric cancer research that can lead to better outcomes and healthier lives for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The aim is to support promising research projects with the greatest potential for advancing knowledge and improving outcomes.
• Projects must directly and primarily focus on pediatric cancer and pediatric populations (children, adolescents and young adults living with cancer and their families).

• The CIHR Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Research Initiative, under the co-leadership of CIHR's Institute of Infection and Immunity (III) and CIHR's Institute of Population and Public Health (IPPH) supports the development of broader, more cohesive engagement and actions, methods and tools to combat AMR and improve antimicrobial use.
• The CIHR AMR Research Initiative will fund applications that are determined to be relevant to the scope of the Initiative.
• In alignment with CIHR’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in the research system, the RI champions EDI as a means to support excellence in research, training and knowledge mobilization. The objective of this funding opportunity is to catalyze and support research efforts of Canadian researchers to use the available CLSA data in order to better understand how (individually and in combination) the biological, medical, psychological, social, lifestyle and/or economic aspects of people’s lives have an impact in both maintaining health and in the development of disease and disability as people age.

The objective of this funding opportunity is to build capacity for leadership in patient-oriented research through meaningful and culturally safe practices by:

• Creating opportunities for non-governmental Canadian health systems or related organizations to embed patient-oriented research and related principles, practices and findings within their mandate, policies, and/or activities; and
• Equipping implementation specialists with the relevant knowledge and skills needed to increase the uptake of patient-oriented research and related principles, practices and findings within the Canadian health system.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are to:

• Generate new data and evidence relating to the therapeutic efficacy and safety of psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy for substance use and mental health disorders;
• Facilitate consideration and application of new evidence to inform ongoing and future development of policies, practices and programs related to psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy;
• Strengthen research excellence and ensure maximum research impact through consideration of diverse biological and/or socio-cultural identity factors in research design, and diverse research methods such as those based in Indigenous ways of knowing.

The specific objective of this funding opportunity is:

• To provide entry for trainees to the SPA 2023 program to trainees interested in the area of longer-living older adults.
