The Inuvialuit Traditional Knowledge Inventory Development (ITK ID) project aims to establish an ITK inventory and online repository by identifying all the ITK archival materials in possession of the Joint Secretariat and its partners, and by organizing the data within a formal inventory model best suited for inventory development knowledge archival materials.

Through this project, Vancouver Aboriginal Transformative Justice Services Society is seeking funds to enhance the organization's strategic plan to align with the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act; update constitution and By-laws; and, define topics for collaboration for Urban Indigenous Justice Issues in Greater Vancouver.

Through this project, Tl'azt'en Nation will provide community specific trauma informed care training for staff, service providers and advocates within the Tl'azt'en Nation through a series of workshops, seminars, and activities.

Through this project, Fort Nelson First Nation (FNFN) is seeking funding to build capacity for the Restorative Justice and Peacekeeping programs within the community. This project would support the Nation to engage staff to train community members and other FNFN staff as facilitators and/or coordinators at FNFN.

Through this project, Four Circles Justice Society will develop resources to increase awareness of program and activities, host a two-day conference, a cross-cultural training session, and follow-up workshops to build relationships and develop partnerships between their Indigenous justice Program, communities and justice stakeholders.

Through this project, Gitxsan-Wet’suwet’en Unlocking Aboriginal Justice (GWUAJ) will deliver professional development and relationship building activities to board members, hereditary Chiefs, managers and frontline staff.

Through this project, Community Justice Outreach Workers and Community Justice Specialists will attend a workshop exploring strategies, skill sets, and other applications for the appropriate work setting that encourage self-reflection, self-reliance, and self-management.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory disorder that affects 384 million people worldwide and is responsible for over 3 million deaths/year, making it the third leading cause of mortality. COPD is also the top 1 reason for hospitalization in Canada. Alveolar Macrophages (AMs) are the most abundant immune cells in the human airways. Although AM is well known for its critical role in fighting pathogens and maintaining lung homeostasis, it is unclear how these cells change in COPD states. Precisely deconvolute the AM compositions and associating them to COPD clinical outcomes will provide a great opportunity to better understand COPD. The primary objective of this study is to develop digital technologies to discover AM biomarkers for novel COPD therapy by integrating both bulk and single cell omics data. This study will demonstrate the translational capabilities of single-cell ‘omics technologies and provide biomarker candidates for immunotherapy of COPD.
