This funding will help people with disabilities and their families access disability programs and benefits, like the DTC, the CDB and other federal, provincial and territorial disability benefits...ESDC will support organizations that help people with disabilities and their families find and apply for these benefits by:..- giving people the information they need and helping them address barriers (this could include a help line, a website, or support groups).- offering free, one-on-one help during the application process, including support for appeals if needed

The Equity in Action project will address the opioid crisis among Indigenous populations by embedding culturally safe, trauma-informed care within a centralized HUB. Using a two-eyed seeing approach that blends Western science and Indigenous knowledge, it will build community capacity, enhance cultural safety, and provide comprehensive prevention, and post-treatment support through Indigenous-led programming and a 3-pillar strategy—community capacity building, capital investment, and cultural safety.
