The objectives of the Program are: .• promoting volunteerism among seniors; .• engaging seniors in the community through.mentoring of others; .• expanding awareness of elder abuse, including.financial abuse; .• supporting social participation and inclusion of.seniors; and .• providing capital assistance for new and existing.community projects and/or programs for seniors. .

Funding will support research, including a two day symposium, as well as publications, on lessons learned of the
war in Ukraine and how these findings could further inform Canada's future defence policy, for instance in its
relation to other major powers such as China.

Project activities include: (1) Facilitating a global and four regional learning hubs for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge-sharing among WROs, LBTQI+ groups and networks; (2) Strengthening and bridging the capacity of WROs and LBTQI+ groups, particularly with feminist monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL); and (3) Building a body of evidence through lessons learned, stories of change, and analyzing trends around what works and does not work in terms of funding to support women’s movements globally.

This project supports young women living in poverty in 3 major cities in the South of Ghana (Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi) and 4 surrounding regions through access to decent, dignified, high paying work in sectors. The project trains and empowers young women to enter careers in high paying trades such as welding, heavy duty machinery, solar installation, and automotive mechanics. It supports these young women by placing them in internships, mentoring them and awarding them scholarships. Also, the project supports them to find decent work in the private sector both in formal employment and as entrepreneurs. The project aims to build the capacity of 72 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes to deliver gender-sensitive skills training. The project also collaborates with industry partners to hire, promote and retain women in the workplace. This project aims to expand the basic literacy, numeracy and skills development of 3,000 vulnerable, out-of-school adolescent girls, including adolescent mothers and those with disabilities or HIV/AIDS, in six districts of the Manica and Sofala provinces of Mozambique. Project activities include: (1) providing adolescent girls access to accelerated literacy and numeracy classes that are age, gender and disability appropriate, to attain basic reading and writing skills; (2) supporting the development of business and life skills for income-generating opportunities and gain community and political support for their education and economic empowerment; (3) expanding the economic empowerment of these adolescent girls and improving their capacity to protect themselves from sexual and gender-based violence. The project addresses critical barriers to their education by providing them with informal education to gain business, financial, life, literacy and numeracy skills, while supporting their increased self-esteem,

Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
