In this project, we aim to adapt an evidence-supported psychotherapeutic caregiver (CG) intervention called the CARERS program into a virtual reality (VR) simulation training platform. The project is co-led by a clinical research team with extensive expertise in dementia care and CG interventions and the NRC team with extensive expertise in health?care technological solution development and testing. We draw upon a large network of collaborators with clinical, simulation, implementation, knowledge mobilization (KMb), and healthcare technology expertise to collaborate with knowledge users (KUs), CGs and care stakeholders. The project goes through an evidence-based process of co-design, clinical content development, content validation, and VR development, followed by testing of the minimum viable product (MVP) while addressing implementation challenges.

The Project focuses on building resilient and secure machine learning (ML)
techniques for connected health-care systems. With the advent of
connected medical devices, there is immense potential for continuous onsite
data gathering and analysis. Recent advances in ML techniques have
unlocked significant potential for automated detection and diagnosis of
medical conditions and disease monitoring, especially for remote and vulnerable populations. Unfortunately, this has also opened the doors to many kinds of malicious security attacks, especially those targeting the ML algorithms via adversarial attacks (i.e., evasion and poisoning attacks). The Project will investigate systematic techniques for making ML algorithms used in the healthcare domain robust and resilient to different kinds of attacks, and to provide early warning of attacks on the medical devices so that suitable actions can be taken. The team will leverage its collective expertise in the domains of cyber-security, dependability, and machine learning, to develop fundamental innovations in this area.

This International Co-Innovation Action Program (ICAP) project will prepare the firm to enter into future international co-innovation work with partners in the UK.

The project consists in developing technological analyses aimed at strengthening the company's planning and solution design capabilities.

First, an IP diagnosis will be performed and then an action plan will be developed.

The patient will be able to control temperature, lights and blinds while enabling the possibility for integrations with other IoT devices (internet of things) installed in the future. The project directly impacts various initiatives in the health care industry, such as: reducing the impact on our environment, reducing risk of patient injury, and improving hospital resource allocation.

The project consists in improving the business position of the firm. This includes the development of a strong business model including pricing and revenue model. Different, application specific, business models may be developed. Customer discovery in different segments of the US market will be performed along with location specific requirements and challenge.
