This project aims to provide a solution to defrost the developed ice on windshields through electrical power signals. The proposal is designed to defrost the ice in a very short period of time with respect to typical HVAC solutions. The targeted windshields are coated with a conductive solar friendly transparent sublayers that reduces the effect of solar UV exposure and allows the integration of the proposed solution.

The Project will support development of intellectual property capacity within the Firm.

Megawatt Class engines are typically used to provide electrical power generation for on-site use. Common applications are for hospitals, universities and data centers. This product could be a “break-through” development for the Company. Normally Safety Power’s business is project driven – on a given project an engine dealer may choose Safety Power or one of its competitors as the emission control supplier. This new product development would allow Safety Power to “design in” its emission control equipment with a major company. This “design in” activity requires complex certification through the US EPA. This requires toa new reactor design to meet the space and performance requirements.

The project is to develop an Industry 4.0 software and hardware technology package, including digital / dashboard solutions, to facilitate smart manufacturing cells compatible with both legacy and new modern manufacturing equipment. This will provide real-time information from shop floor to the office, to track the location of production orders, as well as communicate and react to production issues as they occur.

Koss Aerospace wanted to develop a process for inspection of multi datum constrained monolithic structural parts to decrease the time involved that will help in reducing overall lead time for the manufacturing of parts.

Part of the international consortium project 1792 IMPACT, the two innovative companies Brilliant Matters (Canada) and project lead Epishine AB (Sweden) will, in close collaboration, develop and evaluate a novel organic semiconducting material suitable for use as an interlayer in indoor organic photovoltaic (OPV).

The intent of this project is to fund the development of the Beta Product of a fully autonomous cooking solution for a major Canadian restaurant franchise. This Beta development will lead to large-scale commercialization in the fast-food industry.
