​​​The objective of this project is to hire an intern to work for Elmira Pet Products, the largest Canadian Private Label dry pet food manufacturer. 

​​​The objective of the project is to assist at the Lakes of Muskoka Cottage Brewery, a beer and spirits manufacturer. The intern will be greeting and welcoming each guest, leading guided tours and tastings to both small and large groups; conducting structured tastings both at the tasting bar and to private groups as well as other tasks.

​The objective of this project is to provide the intern experience on a mixed farm operation, producing cattle and grain. The intern will learn about computer systems related to agriculture, using this during haying, seeding, harvest, yard and shop maintenance and assist with livestock management.

The objective of the project is to involve the intern in the market garden, grain, asparagus and highbush blueberry production activities.  The intern will assist with crop preparation, harvesting, pest scouting, follow-ups with agricultural professionals, vegetable garden maintenance and on-farm sales. They will also be involved in the development of the sugar bush.

​The objective of the project is a health and wellness beverage producer that provides Canadians with raw Kombucha, Kefir water and other fermented probiotic consumables. We create our products from all natural, organic ingredients and pride ourselves on the health benefits our raw, small batch products provide. We started with creating low sugar Kombucha and have proceeded to expand by including Water Kefir and Kombucha Vinegars. We are launching a shelf stable probiotic kombucha shot online.
The intern will learn about 1) Quality Control. Testing alcohol and fermentation levels. 2) Developing new fermentation methods to reduce alcohol during fermentation and increase pro-biotics, 3) Growing and separating strains of probiotics, 4) Work on creating a new line of health focused wellness beverages, including establish SOP for QC and gathering specsheets on all raw materials, 5) Work on removing sugar out of all fermentation to create a healthier fermented beverage.

​The objective of the project is to produce certified organic mixed vegetables, herbs and fruits using bio-intensive production methods. All vegetables are marketed through the Local Food Box Program (LFB), a multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture Service that brings together farmers from Metchosin to share a customer base and offer program members access to local and seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, flowers, and honey.
The intern will assist in the production of fruits and vegetables and general farm maintenance. This includes: harvesting, washing and packaging fruits and vegetables; preparing fields for plantings; assisting seeding and transplanting; applying soil amendments and fertilizers; managing weeds; preventing pest damage by installing row cover; pruning and trellising greenhouse crops; maintaining tools and equipment; interacting with customers; and other tasks related to farm expansion.

​The objective of the project is to provide the intern with experience working with the agriculture and agri-tech sectors to develop new products and processes to support sustainability and the sector. The Intern will participate in greenhouse plant trials with a new bio fertilizer from brewery waste and a micronutrient fertilizer formulated for retention in the root zone, managing vegetable, flower crops and bio products as well as assessing plant health.

​The objective of the project is to hire an intern to assist in the production of certified organic mixed vegetables, herbs and fruits using bio-intensive production methods.

​The objective of the project is for the intern to gain experience with a non-profit agricultural organization. The intern will be focused on honey bee surveillance activities, field and laboratory work and will assist in general beekeeping duties and field work, work in the office, laboratory work.

The objective of the project is to involve the intern in the activities of this company specializing in diversified vegetable production. The intern will contribute to the maintenance of vegetables in greenhouses and in the fields, staking, leaf stripping, control of greenhouse ventilation, screening for insects, weeding, harvesting, washing and packaging vegetables, order preparation and customer service at the kiosk.
