Project activities include: (1) providing cash, vouchers, or in-kind food rations to address immediate food needs; (2) identifying and supporting agricultural and non-agricultural livelihoods and market opportunities to improve household food security and resilience; (3) facilitating the development and strengthening of community groups to build community ownership and resilience; (4) rehabilitating or constructing community and environmental assets to support community development; and (5) providing training on locally relevant gender equality issues and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and risks to women and men from households experiencing acute food insecurity, and in a gender-sensitive manner.

This project aims to empower the most underserved and disenfranchised women and girls in Bangladesh (including those with disabilities) to gain greater access to and control over resources, decisions and actions that affect their lives. The project components are designed to achieve the following goals: (1) lowering levels of extreme poverty; (2) increasing access to quality essential services for the poorest and most marginalized groups in Bangladesh; (3) creating employment opportunities for underprivileged youth, extremely poor disabled people and migrants; (4) increasing economic and social empowerment of women; (5) improving the status of women and girls and reduce violence against women girls; and (6) improving COVID-19 management by communities.

Project activities include: (1) enabling 6,650 households to graduate from extreme poverty with better sustainable livelihoods and socioeconomic resilience; (2) strengthening the resilience of 17,500 climate vulnerable households; (3) providing comprehensive health and SRHR services to 100,000 people; (4) supporting 5,550 children (at least 50% girls and 2% with disabilities) to complete primary education with better learning competencies; (5) training 1,360 people with marketable skills linked to decent employment opportunities; (6) providing counseling and legal aid services to 20,750 women survivors of violence against women; (7) engaging with over 1 million people through awareness efforts on violence against women and children and prevention of child marriage; (8) producing and distributing reusable cloth masks among the low-income people to slow down community transmission of COVID-19; (9) improving protective health initiatives through community engagement and communication for better case management, infection prevention, risk reduction and awareness building; and (10) creating access to livelihood support mechanisms in post-pandemic recovery.

Project activities include: (1) upgrading and equipping healthcare facilities; (2) providing outpatient care such as medical consultations, immunizations for children, and medication; (3) offering sexual and reproductive health services, medical support and referrals for sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) cases, and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS); (4) training health service providers in sexual and reproductive health and rights, SGBV, MHPSS and adolescent health; and (5) providing training to community health volunteers doing outreach in the refugee camps.

This project aims to improve the enabling environment, reduce gender-related barriers, push the nursing agenda forward and build the capacity of nursing teachers.

Recipients will be selected based on their explicit focus on advancing the rights and interests of marginalised communities and groups. Gender and its intersectionality will receive special attention in the project selection, as well as in capacity building of grantees.

This project aims to implement gender-sensitive designs by the UN Department of Operational Support for infrastructure and accommodations in UN peace operations.

Because SDSR issues are intrinsically linked to gender equality and gender-based violence (GVb), the project will also aim to strengthen women's and girls' empowerment in sDSRs in terms of access to information, education and health and family planning services (through referencing to local services supported by the Maternal and Child Health Project (PROSAMI) implemented by L'UVRE LÉGER and detailed more low).

Project activities include: (1) providing emergency shelter kits, non-food items and multi-purpose cash; (2) coordinating camp management, site care and maintenance; (3) deploying mobile teams to remote locations where affected populations lack water, sanitation and hygiene services; (4) providing health support, mental health and psychosocial support in humanitarian response; (5) providing emergency water, sanitation and hygiene; (6) providing support services for humanitarian organizations by establishing humanitarian hubs in deep field locations; (7) data collection that includes mapping of vulnerable populations at points of entry and at the district and community level for enhanced targeting and delivery of humanitarian assistance; and (8) protection and gender mainstreaming across humanitarian response activities for extremely vulnerable individuals, including unaccompanied migrant children and single women and adolescent girls.

March 2021 - Years of active conflict and displacement inside Syria have resulted in severe protection risks, including widespread sexual and gender-based violence for millions of conflicted-affected people.
