​​The objective of this project is to hire an intern at the University of Guelph Arboretum, a non-profit, botanical garden.

The intern will assist with data collection for farm research projects, enter the data (Excel tables) and also help with daily farm activities (calf breeding, treatments, vaccines, disinfections, etc.)

The objective of the project is operating a mixed farm, raising livestock and selling farm products including beef, pork, and eggs. For our own consumption, we have honeybees, dairy cattle, and poultry, along with vegetables, fruit and nut trees. The intern will learn about raising grass-finished beef, pastured pork, setting up and moving temporary electric fencing, mixing feed rations, overall livestock health and husbandry, and business/marketing of the products. They will learn about harvesting, processing, and storing of hay and grain crops. They will undertake activities for growing, maintaining, harvesting and preserving a diversity of garden and greenhouse food crops, fence building/repair, sawmill use, and construction projects.

​The objective of the project is to increase the availability of specialty vegetables growing on 3/4 of an acre of permanent raised beds and a heated greenhouse. The vegetables are sold at the on farm kiosk, weekly basket program, at a weekly public market and a few restaurants, convenience stores and health food stores. The intern will participate in the activities in the greenhouse such as starting seedlings, trellising, lower and leaning tomatoes, pruning, fertilizing and integrated pest control. He will also work in the field with the bed preparation, transplanting, direct seeding, weeding, fertilizing and integrated pest management. The intern will help with crop processing (harvesting, washing, sorting and storing) and record keeping.

The objective of the project is to hire an intern for a dairy farm.  The intern will do general farm labour as well as assist with milking the cows, feeding cows, bottle feeding calves and also help in the production of cheese. ​​

​The objective of this project is to assist in the crop farming of 1100 acres (corn, soybeans and wheat) and grain elevator handling approximately 10,000 tonnes of grain annually. The intern will assist in the operation of farm equipment and vehicles necessary for daily operations including field work, maintenance of yard and elevator. The intern will also assist in sand blasting, painting, welding, and general repair and upkeep of equipment and facilities. 

​The objective of the project is a poultry boiler production (meat production) from day old chicks to the time they are shipped out for the processing plant.
The intern will learn to work as a laborer on the farm and the technical training. The intern will learn how the ventilation of the barns works, organic feeding method, how to identify bird health (animal welfare), minor maintenance repair. Learn to problem solve day to day issues, trouble shoot problems. The intern will learn to work with team and others from various ethnic backgrounds.

​The objective of the project is to provide the intern with experience working with honey producers, through maintaining colonies of healthy bees for pollination and production of honey. The intern will ensure sufficient food reserves, construct hives and replace combs, collect and package any hive products including honey, beeswax and pollen, build and manage queen rearing operations, ensure breeding yards are kept at optimal level of production, maintain strict control over diseases and pests, identify and report hive health concerns.  The intern will also be making decisions on yards, treatment, splits, honey harvesting and all other beekeeping decisions.
