The objective of this project is to hire an intern to work on Sunny Point Farms Ltd., a dairy farm. The intern would assist with milking cows, feeding young stock, cropping, machinery maintenance, cleaning barns out as well as land development for future fields.

The objective of the project is to raise chickens, turkeys and egg laying hens year around for supplying to the local market. The intern will assist in the daily farm routines and will learn how to are chore barns, clean and disinfect barns between flock placements, maintain equipment,  flock husbandry, basic mechanics, and how to operate farm equipment.

​The objective of the project is to assist with crops grown including strawberries, sweet corn, beans, squash & pumpkins, and a variety of over 20 other vegetables.  Products are sold directly to the consumer from a Roadside Stand at the farm, as well as through a 15-week produce basket subscription program. The Intern will assist with coordinating and carrying out any and all aspects of program delivery.  This could include harvesting, washing, sorting, preparing the products, and labeling/packaging the produce baskets for clients to pick up at the farm during their weekly time slot.​

​The objective of the project is a health and wellness beverage producer that provides Canadians with raw Kombucha, Kefir water and other fermented probiotic consumables. We create our products from all natural, organic ingredients and pride ourselves on the health benefits our raw, small batch products provide. We started with creating low sugar Kombucha and have proceeded to expand by including Water Kefir and Kombucha Vinegars. We are launching a shelf stable probiotic kombucha shot online.
The intern will learn about 1) Quality Control. Testing alcohol and fermentation levels. 2) Developing new fermentation methods to reduce alcohol during fermentation and increase pro-biotics, 3) Growing and separating strains of probiotics, 4) Work on creating a new line of health focused wellness beverages, including establish SOP for QC and gathering specsheets on all raw materials, 5) Work on removing sugar out of all fermentation to create a healthier fermented beverage.

​The objective of the project is to produce certified organic mixed vegetables, herbs and fruits using bio-intensive production methods. All vegetables are marketed through the Local Food Box Program (LFB), a multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture Service that brings together farmers from Metchosin to share a customer base and offer program members access to local and seasonal fruits and vegetables, meats, eggs, flowers, and honey.
The intern will assist in the production of fruits and vegetables and general farm maintenance. This includes: harvesting, washing and packaging fruits and vegetables; preparing fields for plantings; assisting seeding and transplanting; applying soil amendments and fertilizers; managing weeds; preventing pest damage by installing row cover; pruning and trellising greenhouse crops; maintaining tools and equipment; interacting with customers; and other tasks related to farm expansion.

The objective of the project is to maintain the Canada Gap permit for the potato business. The intern will keep weekly and monthly records of the inspection of the production site, buildings and farm equipment. The intern will maintain records of fertilizer and pesticide spreading following field applications. The intern will also maintain harvest records to ensure the traceability of potato batches that will be shipped to customers or stored.

​The objective of the project is an Indigenous government that provides economic, social, and cultural, educational, employment, and health services to its community members, including the local youth through various community-based initiatives. The community is pursuing its vision of utilizing land and resources in a self-sufficient, sustainable, and vibrant way while becoming resilient and adapting to climate change.
The intern will assist Kanaka Bar with the Food Security Initiative as per the Summer Plan 2020.  They will be involved in many aspects of gardening, farming and permaculture including but not limited to seeding and transplanting of greenhouse and outdoors, bed preparation, seed saving, processing, irrigation, harvesting, planting of new trees and capacity building. They will also participate in full cycle of the food system from growing to consumption to waste.

​The objective of the project is verified beef feedlot and cow/calf operation.
The intern will assist in cattle handling, equipment operating(feeding/haying) and basic maintenance of equipment.

The intern will assist in field scouting, machinery maintenance and harvest soil preparation

The objective of this project is to hire an intern to work on a honey bee farm. The intern will assist in the monitoring and maintaining of hives and in the  harvesting of honey.
