The objective of this project is to involve the intern in diversified vegetable production activities for 150 baskets, restaurants, public markets and retailers.
The intern will assist with field activities (land preparation, planting, maintenance, fertilization, irrigation, phytoprotection), harvesting and packaging (quality control, order preparation), equipment maintenance, filling out crop records and leading a production team. The intern may also participate in vegetable garden and edible-plant flowerbed development services as well as workshops offered to the public on growing organic vegetables (seeding, organic growing, northern growing, under cover cultivation, packaging and conservation).

​The objective of the project is to assist with custom farming operations such as cultivating, planting crops, spraying, fertilizer application, harvesting, manure spreading etc. for other farmers so they do not need to invest in a complete line of expensive farm equipment for their operation.  In addition, they run their own farming operation on owned and rented land.  They operate a grain elevator and run a lystegro operation for disposing of human waste which has been converted to fertilizer.​ The Intern will be trained on the safe and proper operation of large scale farming equipment.  This equipment would include tractors, sprayers and fertilizer spreaders. Standard equipment maintenance and pre-trip greasing will be completed.  Employee will be responsible for calculating correct amount of product required, identifying the correct field and carefully applying the product. Paperwork must be completed for each field and ongoing communication with the supervisor is important. 

​The objective of the project is to provide the employee with experience on a cherry and apple Orchard, through checking and changing Orchard insect traps, completing export program reports for export programs, assist with collection of leaf samples for SAP Analysis and shipment, harvest, office personnel tasks and Covid-19 protocols.

The objective of the project is to assist in the processing of raw meat products from the  farm animals to generate ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat European style products for their customers. The Intern will assist the sausage maker and learn how to produce dried meats, sausages, bacon, salami's, etc.​

The objective of this project is to provide a work experience in this cedar business. The products are sold to landscapers and nursery growers in Quebec, Ontario and the United States. The intern will be introduced to all of the business’s business lines to become familiar with all of its operations.

​The objective of the project is to grow canola, wheat and soybeans to be used as a food source. The intern would be responsible for weed control in all crops, harvesting of crops and delivering the final product to the grain handling facility.

​The objective of the project is to give an experience in direct marketing of farm produce. The intern will participate in the production, harvest, customer service, processing, marketing and sales. The intern will attend farmers markets and help with the daily operations of the agritourism business. ​

The objective of this project is to provide work experience at this beekeeping business, which offers specialized honey, pollen, wax, candles and pollination services. The intern will assist with beekeeping equipment assembly, extraction, hive inspections, maintenance of equipment and buildings as well as sales at the shop.

The objective of the project is to offer work experience at this vegetable crop business, which grows carrots, onions, lettuce, French shallots and daikon radishes. The intern will learn how to prepare fields and plant, maintain, harvest and package vegetables.
