Project activities include: (1) deploying experts to rapidly assess the threat of different outbreaks; and (2) initiating urgent activities to prevent the spread of outbreaks, such as the delivery of vital health supplies, the training of community health workers, the provision of potable water and the implementation of vaccination campaign.

Project activities include: (1) procuring up to 6 health facilities and 6 mobile clinics with equipment, vaccines and essential drugs for the treatment of pneumonia, malaria and diarrhea; (2) establishing up to 12 referral systems for emergency cases requiring specialized care; (3) providing training to up to 24 health facility staff members on the use of available supplies, materials, and emergency obstetric care; and (4) distributing up to 3164 dignity kits to girls and women in targeted communities.

Project activities include: (1) constructing or rehabilitating water points, benefiting up to 5,000 people; (2) distributing cash-for-work to up to 4,200 beneficiaries for work on small community projects, and providing unconditional cash assistance to up to 434 vulnerable people; (3) provide small pre-vaccinated ruminants to rebuild the livestock of up to 1,000 households; (4) building the capacity of up to 1,000 women and girls to manage income generating activities and resources such as land, water and pasture; and (5) distributing dignity kits for women and girls, which contain items required to maintain feminine hygiene, dignity and respect in their daily lives, benefiting up to 1,000 women and girls.

Project activities include: (1) providing primary health care, including 38,000 malaria patients treated and 52,000 vaccinations; (2) providing sexual and reproductive healthcare services, including 6,684 post-natal consultations and 3,440 assisted deliveries; and (3) providing secondary healthcare services, including 3,969 inpatient admissions and 1,400 malnutrition cases treated with therapeutic feeding.

The Eliminating Cervical Cancer in Canada funding opportunity is expected to:

• Maintain and/or strengthen a high quality research program for implementation science, clinical, health services, and population health research to achieve better clinical, economic, and population health outcomes related to the elimination of cervical cancer for the benefit of Canadians;
• Examine the effectiveness of HPV vaccine schedules, including 1 dose schedules;
• Evaluate the requirement for booster doses for the HPV vaccine for males and females;
• Improve understanding of, access to, and uptake of cervical cancer screening among underserved populations with appropriate consideration of income, cultural background, geographic location, education, gender, and other intersecting factors;
• Improve understanding of, access to, and uptake of HPV vaccination among the general population, including consideration of the role of parents and guardians, as well as appropriate consideration of how income, cultural background, geographic location, education, gender, and other intersecting factors may be contributing to vaccine hesitancy;
• Assess the feasibility, suitability and implementation of HPV self-collection for underscreened populations with appropriate consideration of how income, cultural background, geographic location, education, gender, and other intersecting factors may affect effective implementation; and
• Establish a network of collaborative centres to ensure that good practices and learnings from the grant recipients are translated nationally to maximize the impact and outcomes of the research program across jurisdictions for the benefit of Canadians.

The organisation will offer 16 training courses in French to practising members of the Law Society of New Brunswick as part of their mandatory continuing professional development. The project will increase the number of French course options available under the Society's Mandatory Continuing Professional Development.

This project will develop courses for the new Joint Program in Canadian Common Law and Indigenous Legal Orders and establish mandatory field studies in Indigenous communities to promote and encourage involvement in the identification of emerging trends, issues and/or gaps and possible responses with respect to the justice system.

To develop a real-time, robust system for plant health monitoring services including remote detection of plant diseases during early developmental stage in a large crop field or greenhouse, mobile solution for real-time disease diagnosis, and disease management via application of vaccine

Project activities include: (1) deploying experts to rapidly assess outbreak threat; (2) delivering essential medicines, supplies and equipment; (3) training health personnel; (4) coordinating and implementing vaccination campaigns; and (5) strengthening health sector coordination and health information systems.

Health interventions include for example, school-based malaria prevention, feeding/micronutrient supplementation, vaccinations, deworming, vision screening, and comprehensive sexuality education.
