In the 21st century, consumers are increasingly demanding products that reflect their more sustainable values and lifestyles. There is a big demand for clean sustainable polymers on the global market. Adipic acid is the main building block of Nylon 6,6 ($28 billion market) high-performance polymer that is made from oil. Global adipic acid production results in toxic greenhouse gases N2O and CO2 release (~60 million tons/year). Therefore, it is important to develop green emission-free technology to replace oil-based Nylon 6,6. Within the OzoneBio, we use wood-derived feedstocks to produce bio-adipic acid through an emission-zero biocatalytic process.

The goal of this project is to optimize the design of an oyster bag (aquaculture) washing system. The system will remove problematic seaweed, barnacles and sediments, and will require very little manual intervention. The project will also focus on ergonomics, space management and reducing the amount of water used in the washing process.

Research the needs and pain points of consumers and retailers and provide input to the team that will enable implementation of improvements to the Firm’s CRM product and insurance dashboard.

This project involves improving the company's production techniques to develop a "star" product that will be of superior quality and stable at room temperature, while being competitive on the market. Proposed project addresses NanoSpeed Diagnostics expansion into new market channels – pharmacy chains and large multi-specialty hospitals in India and EU that have expressed strong interest in utilizing fast 10-min proprietary Vitamin D (Test4D) from a drop of a blood in their routine hospital practice.

This contribution will provide support for an annual forum hosted by the Sources of Knowledge which offers a regular means of presenting research activities, results and implications for Bruce Peninsula National Park, Fathom Five National Marine Park and the surrounding community. It also provides funding for the Bursary program which provides financial support to qualifying secondary students for postsecondary study in the field of environmental conservation or other related fields. To aid in public education and awareness, and water quality monitoring, support is provided to coordinate a citizen science project involving use of three Seabin devices in Fathom Five National Marine Park

This contribution supports the reproduction of a traditional Mi'gmaq camp in order to provide visitors with an immersive experience allowing them to learn about culture, taste traditional dishes and stay in a wigwam. Visitors will be able to participate in recreational activities, such as making woven baskets and evenings of tales and legends. The camp is located in the northen sector of Forillon National Park.
