The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS D) Program provides financial support to outstanding eligible students pursuing doctoral studies in a Canadian university. These prestigious scholarships aim to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in undergraduate and graduate studies.

The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s (CGS M) Program helps develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.

The Health System Impact Fellowship is expected to:
• Support impact-oriented career paths and elevate the career readiness of PhD trainees and post-doctoral fellows studying HSPR or related fields by supporting experiential learning opportunities in health system and related organizations outside of the traditional university environment and enriched competency development (e.g., leadership, project management);
• Expand and enrich the traditional doctoral and post-doctoral training environment by engaging health system and related organizations in preparing a cadre of promising doctoral trainees and post-doctoral fellows for successful careers in academic and applied health system settings; and
• Provide health system and related organizations with direct opportunities to realize and harness the benefits that research-trained individuals can bring to such organizations for improved decision-making.

The purpose of these funds is to provide the institution responsible for administering the Operating Grant: Clinical Trials Projects, with funding for indirect costs associated with hosting the CT Network as the Funding Opportunity was not eligible for consideration in the Research Support Fund program.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are, in the context of the Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences Strategy, to:

• Support research teams across the country in conducting clinical trials that apply intersectional study design, primary data collection, and analyses so that the outcomes and health benefits of these trials can be applied to Canada’s diverse population;
• Support the participation of Canadian sites in international clinical trials;
• Promote relevant collaborations across disciplines, professions, and sectors; and
• Contribute to the creation and use of health-related knowledge.

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:
•Create new knowledge about the magnitude and health effects of climate change on food security in the Canadian North and Northern Indigenous populations by incorporating Indigenous knowledge and land-based experience regarding traditional/country food sources.
•Identify effective approaches, programs and policy to address food insecurity in the North through implementation science.
•Build capacity for multidisciplinary research in the area of food security and climate change in the Canadian North that has strong and meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities and organizations.
