Lunar system design and mission planning require advanced simulations to ensure success, yet existing tools are fragmented, proprietary, or lack full-system integration for mission validation. This project advances the TRL of Foundation Space Resources’ (FSR) Lunar Digital Twin to include additional environmental models and more efficient simulation, resulting in a solution that more holistically addresses Lunar system design and mission planning needs. Current Lunar simulations focus on isolated mission elements, but FSR’s approach uniquely integrates multiple high-fidelity environmental models, providing a more complete and realistic test environment. This allows Canadian space agencies and companies to test hardware, optimize landing sites, and validate mission strategies before deployment, reducing costs, risks, and mission delays.

Hiring of a Learning Services Associate to support the development and delivery of Goal Attainment Scaling training programs.

Delegation led by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to explore the Japanese market and to develop international partnerships and potential project ideas under the Japan Program. In Partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service Canadian Technology Accelerator (TCS CTA), and Deep Tech Canada, the Canadian delegation will also receive support for their international business and market-entry strategies, as well as get introductions to other potential partners and clients during the mission.

This project will test hypotheses and experiment with new mechanisms to design and optimize a repeatable and scalable business process, which may result in new business method to support international market diversification for hotel event booking CRM software.

As artificial intelligence (AI) systems become increasingly embedded in smart devices and daily life, individuals are increasingly making decisions that affect their privacy, autonomy, and rights. Despite this, public understanding of AI’s role in data collection, processing, and decision-making remains limited. Improving AI literacy, specifically digital citizenship, may empower individuals to responsibly make informed privacy decisions or effectively exercise their rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
While AI literacy programs currently exist, they are largely limited to formal education or professional settings. This creates a potential inequity as many may not have the ability, capacity, or motivation to access AI literacy courses. This project takes a human-centred service design approach to bridge this AI literacy gap by engaging the public in codesigning strategies to reach a broader population.

The grant is in support of costs associated with gathering and validating client data from the program for the Indigenous Justice Program’s (IJP) recidivism study.

This grant supports the Singletrack Society Trails Association in the seasonal maintenance of regional trails associated with Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area, including Kama Cliffs Trail, Crew Trail, and Aces and Eights Trail.

This contribution supports the Fox Lake Cree Nation in the management and preservation of the cemetery at the York Factory National Historic Site, where many of their ancestors are buried.

This grant supports the documentation of Indigenous Guardian programs through video or photography. The initiative aims to create a lasting legacy and serve as an ongoing resource for the community, honouring and highlighting the contributions of Indigenous Guardians.
