This 29-month project will support a feminist response and recovery to adress the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. The Young Women’s Christian Association will achieve this by conducting an environmental scan of municipalities across Metro Vancouver for GBA Plus policy, developing targeted government and public outreach and engagement strategies for the use of GBA Plus, and convening two advisory councils to help inform the widespread use of GBA Plus and equity strategies in the region.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources, increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, and supporting positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power.

This project will result in 21 municipalities informed of the benefit of GBA Plus integration on policy, program and spending, development of two online toolkits to advance GBA Plus across Metro Vancouver communities and hosting one educational event to share the results of the project and progress amongst municipal governments.

This 29-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19 through systemic change. GBV Resource Collective Inc. will achieve this by developing and implementing an accredited “GBV Trauma-Informed Care Training” program, and "The GBV Bridge" - a National Gender-Based Violence database and intake/ triage process that will improve the identification of root causes and individual needs of those impacted by GBV.

This 29-month project will address systemic barriers to help-seeking, safety planning and support services for women, with an animal companion, experiencing GBV across Canada. The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (also known as Humane Canada) will achieve this by expanding the work of the Canadian Violence Link Coalition (CVLC) (an initiative of Humane Canada) to raise awareness, improve cross-sector collaborations and offer practical options, response policies and improved support systems.

This project will engage key CVLC members and other stakeholders from help-seeking or safety planning sectors, including women’s shelters, anti-violence organizations, social services, child protection organizations, the police, the veterinary profession and animal protection enforcement.

The Young Women’s Christian Association will achieve this by conducting an environmental scan of municipalities across Metro Vancouver for GBA Plus policy, developing targeted government and public outreach and engagement strategies for the use of GBA Plus, convening two advisory councils to help inform the widespread use of GBA Plus and equity strategies in the region, and by hosting a public engagement event during Gender Equality Week in September 2022, called Reimagining our Cities.

At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources, increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change, enhancing public awareness of GBA Plus and supporting positive distribution of authority, voices, and decision-making power.

This project will result in multiple municipalities being informed of the benefit of GBA Plus integration on policy, program and spending, development of online toolkits to advance GBA Plus across Metro Vancouver communities, hosting public events which engage community members and share the results of the project and progress amongst municipal governments.

This 29-month project will develop and implement promising practices to advance knowledge and challenge systemic barriers faced by Black women and girls in Ottawa to address the root causes of gender-based violence.

This project will involve a study of current RF receiver technology with an emphasis on mmWave bands.

The GetSkinHelp service developed by Skinopathy is already helping thousands of Canadians screen for skin diseases, skin cancer, and connecting them virtually with dermatologists and reconstructive plastics surgeons.

Our research suggests the need for a Canadian AI algorithms for skin lesions and creating a “burns” module that will provide individuals, first responders and a patient’s circle-of-care with digital health tools that can help save lives and reduce the burden on an already strained healthcare system.

The objective of this project is to provide a youth with some work experience in the agriculture and agri-food sector.
