Develop a prototype software platform for online automotive vehicle assessments.

The objective of the proposed project is to develop novel skin care products formulations with bioactive compounds derived from Albertan plants sources. Target phytochemicals will exhibit enhanced antioxidant activity and are to protect skin against reactive oxygen and nitrogen species and UV light, which have damaging effects and cause accelerated ageing of the skin.

The MaRS Knowledge & Insights team aims to provide Clients with market research services that position them to succeed and scale. These unique, in-depth research projects are designed to empower early-stage, high-growth potential companies to make data-driven decisions on strategies to increase revenue, expand market penetration, and secure growth capital.

This project is poised to deliver a series of technology showcases (4 total). The showcases will provide a platform for SMEs developing mining technologies for batteries to showcase their technologies and business plans to end-users, channel partners, investors, collaborators, and technical & research organizations for potential partnerships leading to commercialization. Each showcase will look at mining extraction and processes and will target interested IRAP client SMEs. In this way, the project offers an intimate relationship-building opportunity for all. The overall showcase project will identify industry trends, opportunities to collaborate, current research and development initiatives, and will facilitate potential business development opportunities.

This project involves the R&D of seed vessel technology for improving the germination and survival of direct-seeded temperate and boreal tree seedlings. The research is intended to improve the outcome of drone-assisted reforestation efforts in Canada.

Umay is looking to launch its signature product, 'Rest' in late Summer 2021. With first round of (1000) commercial units spoken for via 18 pre-ordered optometry clinics and a contract with the Government of Canada - Innovation Solutions Canada Testing Stream (ISC) (value of ~$550k). Umay's focus over the next 9 months is to expand current product market fit efforts at scale, to ensure current predictions are scalable across identified b2b channels, including speciality retail and health providers (ex. wellness spas, sleep clinics, mental health providers etc.). Commercialization efforts will also include initiating Health Canada approval and expanding business development and operational efforts to support customer success and retention.

The Stress Field Detection - SFD® technology was developed and deployed worldwide for hydrocarbon prospecting to demarcate geological features that manifest via subsurface density distribution and stress distribution/orientation such as, inter alia, faults, fractures and formation porosity/permeability. The presence of these features, albeit at different spatial scales versus hydrocarbon prospecting, would render an area conducive for geothermal exploration. This project is designed to extend the application of the SFD® technology to geothermal prospecting, hereinafter referred to as SFD-GT.

Enhance automated Image Management System to create an extensible solution with open APIs to support external Broker Management Services (BMS) and Policy Management Systems (PMS) to allow images and questionnaires to become an integral part of insurance quotes as required.

This project is focused on the research, authoring, publication, management and ROI calculation of technical content pertaining to our cloud platform product features and usage, and the subject matter of cloud software operating in sensitive-data secure cloud environments for healthcare in general, intended towards uplevelling Canada's ecosystem of digital health innovation.
